LOL.
Skyline != R35.
And that is how you look equating a ZR-1 with a normal corvette.

You didn't know that the ZR-1 is a Corvette?
Clearly I did, otherwise I would not have said what I said....
I see many C6 Vette's on the road.....I have seen 1 ZR1 on the road...thusly, not a dime a dozen
I see far more gt-rs on the street than I do zr1s.
I'm sort of ignoring that you threw a tuner car in there because that's never a decent comparison. It's a loaded question when you do that. If you're going that route, you may as well throw in tuner models of cheap cars too. You always get more performance out of those, but at what cost?
Same as if you bought an SVT package at a Ford dealership
No. SVT/( and currently Shelby for gt500) vehicles are Ford and built on the same exact assembly lines.

Agreed. The AMS GT-R is not affiliated with Nissan, and the GT-R even stock is already at the razor's edge in terms of consideration for long-term reliability. I wouldn't have much confidence that you could drive on hard for very long at all before needing a transmission rebuild along with other costly work. Now for the people who can afford to drop $130k+ on it, that may not probably even be an issue, and they already have several other vehicles to have fun with. Or they will simply trash it and move on to something else.
Besides, here we go :

Mod vs mod, weight still kills.
That is why when op said money no object, I picked GTR
If money is no object, why not start with a Veyron Supersport and shoot for 3000hp or so. Custom make a new carbon fibre monoque and swap out for open wheel so you can widen it by 10" or so and fit F1 wheels/tires on it. 😀 Besides, with the extra money you could also buy a mobile land carrier you could drive it up in and swap for the spare, crewed by Victoria's secret fashion models wearing edible snack lingerie for you and your friends.

Still working on getting me a used Boxster in the new few years. Hopefully things get better again where I'll be able to do it 🙂
To be clear, I listed specific cars under $150K for a $150K budget. And $150K is definitely not a "money is no object" budget. If it was truly a "money is no object" case, then yes a Bugatti Veyron would most likely be on the list.
I would probably take a 997 GT3 (or the theoretical 991 GT3) over any of these, and perhaps a Turbo or even a 991 Carrera S as well.
I like what I have seen/read of the new Viper but don't really trust Chrysler/Fiat.
I don't care about modern Corvettes.
I love the GT-R but wouldn't personally want to drive a car built so far beyond its production power limits (though I know it is fairly bulletproof) and prefer a manual transmission.
I don't really "get" the M6 - I would rather have a cheaper M5.
I would be wary of trusting Jaguar's ability to engineer a chassis of sufficient quality to support that much power and/or to justify spending that kind of money.
My understanding was car under 150k but maint cost be damned. However since it is your thread I figure you know what you were after so I defer to your opinon.
