Workers need to get organized to go buy their own politicians to fight back against the globalist jihad.

That is what's holding up garbage service, not unions but safety and practicality.
A UPS delivery truck weighs in at 12,000lbs.
A single axle garbage truck is 28,000 to 32,000lbs, and they get stuck. They hit poorly parked cars, slide across intersections, and are a PITA to drive. I speak from truck driving experience.
My company parks the trucks whenever possible in these conditions.

do they really need you to put garbage on the curb (grass)? Can you put it on the street (very few cars park out on streets here) or even on the sidewalk? I hate putting it on the grass because my garbage bin has wheels on one half and is flat on the other half... so it's not exactly sturdy. I don't want it to fall over on the unstable grass. The wind can be quite vindictive.

So unions are single-handedly responsible for keeping my health insurance higher because I don't belong to a union? I thought health insurance pricing is based on the cost to get drugs to market and the cost to cover the outrageous medical malpractice insurance that docs have to pay and things like that.

Heaven forbid they get their asses out of the truck to right a tipped over garbage can, either. If it's not in the right spot on the right day in the right position, they don't pick it up. Such nonsense. :roll: I have a yard-clipping bin full of leaves that the garbage people haven't picked up in 1.5 months. I call and bitch, they still don't bother to pick it up. The garbage bill isn't cheap and they won't even make an effort.

You know, you have one job. Your job is to collect the garbage. You don't have to innovote, you don't have to modernize and you don't even have to be creative.

Garbage collection has been modernized here in the Portland Metro area. We now have decent collection of recyclables that have reduced our garbage disposal tremendously, and modern collection vehicles that raise the cans and dump them.

The trucks can't get to the garbage cans due to huge piles of snow next to the curbs on residential streets here. Have you considered there is a "practical" reason garbage hasn't been collected. Our service is generally excellent, and our guys do a damn fine job of dealing with our garbage. I'll patiently wait until they can return to regular collections😉

How about taking your own damn garbage to the transfer station you lazy fsck? 🙁

You're confusing long term business and product decisions made by management with the costs associted for the labor needed to enact those "plans".

And until CEO compensation is based on performance, and personal accountability not invisibility is the norm, rather than the exception in the same manner as the rest of the workforce, UNIONs are the only entity to stand against monolithic Corporate excess of Power and Capitol.

A good comparison is in the local construction industry.

Union equipment operators make about $30/hr with EXCELLENT benefits.
They get the job done right, usually UNDER budget, and under schedule.

The NON-union equipment operators make $15-$18/hour with NO (or few) benefits, and their companies have lots of "re-do's" and are rarely under budget OR underschedule because of all the fuck-ups...yet their companies bill the same $$ per man-hour that the union companies do.

My union dues are about $60/month...the difference between union wages and non-union wages is called non-union dues...($12/hr * 40 * 4.3 wks/mo = 2064/month)

I would really hate for my friends to know I can't add...
