sorry Nik, I wasn't aware you only read the posts that I chose to quote.

If there's a conversation going with several topics, try to quote a topic that's pertinent to your post. It's not difficult.

try following the main topic of the thread dipshit.

The main topic is why the OP's garbage is still sitting at the curb. Weather is certainly one of the reasons, so why don't you just stfu and lick my balls :)

There's the actual reason it's not being picked up and the one he threw out there, not to mention the one you decided to join in on (the whole unions suck topic).

Just read the damn OP?

That requires effort and I belong to the ATOT Poster's Union so I don't have to read OPs if I don't want to ;)

Not a mention of the weather :roll:btw

Meh. I'm one state south of the OP so weather's been on my mind a lot lately. It's been talked about quite a bit on these and other forums so my mind just locked on to weather as the reasoning.

After all, weather is the reason my own trash didn't get picked up. Made sense to me!

Yea, I live outside Portland myself. My garbage hasn't been picked up in 3 weeks either. Didn't even occur to me that it was the Fat, Lazy Union members because they didn't want to work, it seems obvious the weather is the culprit... wtf?

If they wanted to pick mine up today...they still couldn't do it because there is a huge pile of snow next to the curb. Cars are still in the street, so they couldn't even plow it if they wanted to. Same with my mail.

I wonder if the lazy assed OP has gone out and removed the snow from the curb, or alley so that garbage collection can happen? My guess = Fvck No.

this is the typical mindset of the union basher. all hot air, no reasoning.

We're not even bashing unions in those posts. WTF are you smoking?

Yeah, you only spent most of the thread doing it, then asked where the union topic came up.

All I said was to quote the right topic that he's replying to.

Good grief people.

I think I'm gonna go find a car thread in the garage, quote some random person in the thread, talk about CD rom drives, then act like a dillhole when someone mentions that I might have quoted the wrong person.

Whatevah.

The sooner you figure that out the better.

Yeah, you're right...TITANIC fail is more like it...glad we canned their "don't want to do anything" asses and changed companies years ago.

WM is a different company than it was years ago.

WM recently lost the contract (or gave it up) here. We ended up with a different company and their service SUX compared to what we got from WM.
Wm picked up trash on the holiday, the new company doesn't. WM came back if you fucked up and forgot to put the cans out in time...the new company wants to charge an extra fee..My ONLY complaints about WM's service was that their trucks leaked...liquid when they stopped. MIGHT have been hydraulic fluid, but I don't think so...PLUS, the driver was a "hot-dog" with the truck...lots of revving when he picked up the cans. (the truck has a grapple-arm that dumps the can, not the driver or assistant.)
All-in-all, we got MUCH better service from WM.

have you had a lot of snow or ice?

Yes, we've had alot. But it's not too much for the post office or UPS to come out....so I see no reason that the Garbage guys can't get out here.

I don't care if there is a holiday or not, it's been 3 weeks!!!! It's piling up everywhere and its nasty, oh and its XMAS so there is a ton extra garbage everywehre

I live in Redmond, just east of Seattle and we are having the same issue. Where do you live?

ACtually, you are wrong. I have cleaned my street to best of my ability. my garbage is available for them to pickup easily.....

I would bet anything that the Garbage Company + unions won't allow them to drive if there is snow. Regardless, all other types of people are driving, including other companies large trucks.

Not to mention, that it wasn't the fact that the weather has stopped them, it plainly says on the Waste Manamgement Website that they are delayed because of the Holiday + weather. Well you know what.....WORK ON THE HOLIDAY!!!!! DING DING DING. Don't delay my service I pay for because you don't want to work on a holiday.

You don't run a Tanning Salon, you remove garbage. It's amazing how cities all over the world deal with snow and still manage to remove garbage. How bout as a business, you plan for these types of situations. I have to in my business, I can't say...."Sorry, it snowy....we can't provide you service today".

Mail is coming, PIzza is coming, Packages are coming, but the poor baby garbage company can't make it.

WTF EVER.

I'm sure there are plenty of hard working garbage men/women out there, and this wasn't really directed at them, more at the "unions" and management of the companies that make these decisions that impact all of us.

The Union has absolutely NO SAY WHATSOEVER in whether they work or not. That's WTF management is for, ya know, to MANAGE the work. Frick.
