Which is why you get a job at McD's. DERP DE DERP

I can afford an apartment. I never said I couldn't. I just whine about where it will be. I get money from the government from going to school full-time.

I don't have time for a job anyway unless I do some kind of freelance work where I just make the money whenever I have the free time. I don't have a solid schedule where I can put down hours I can work. (And I never will until I am out of college)

Yes you do, you just don't want to do it.

Nope... I really don't. I have other priorities that fill my time.

If I wanted to drop all social activities whatsoever, then I could do it... but since I don't need to get a job... why would I?

This foolish notion of leaving ones home in a wrecked economy and working some shitty job only to have my grades decline is only something a moron would think of.

It is perfectly feasible and doable. You just don't want to do it.

I didn't have time for the 2 jobs I had during college either. Not to mention the freelance computer repair I did on the side. WAIT A MINUTE! I DID!!

You're lazy and expect everything to simply come to you. Lets get back to the "I can't kill myself because of evolution" stuff. I am ready to own.

Really, you are the epitome of what is wrong with youth today.

1. You complain about chicks in the most pathetic way imaginable. Maybe if you get off the computer, do something else, you can bag a girl

2. You come off one of those emo kids who probably cut themselves with a knife to prove a point. Oh, life is just soooooo tough. get over it. Life starts after college.

3. You have a free ride at school....and you still complain about it. Do you appreciate anything given to you?

You probably do have the time, you just don't want to use it to work. I work full time and go to school full time. Last week, I worked 62 hours and didn't miss any classes, got all of my course work finished (and finished well), AND still had time for socializing. It's all about time management.

I can't believe you sucker me into these posts, because, like I said before, you are clearly just doing this for the lulz.

It's foolish to think that you can't find a job. Everybody works shitty jobs in their life and, often, those jobs are a great source of learning about how the world works, how to suck it up and do something you don't want to do, and how to persevere even when your chips are down.

Not only that, but sometimes these "crappy" jobs work out to be awesome. In college I got a job driving our campus van. Sounds crappy, right? Wrongo. I got to meet just about every person on campus, a lot of my co-workers were good people and work became a pretty fun thing. We had silly radio conversations, played stupid games, whatever. Do you know how awesome it was to walk into a party and have every person you go up to say, "oh yeah, you're the really nice guy that drives the van!" Sweet.

I did so well at such a silly job, that they gave me a promotion my senior year. I got to drive several handicapped students that lived off-campus to and from class. Each run took half an hour and they paid for a full hour at triple pay. Suddenly, I was raking in $250 / week for about four hours worth of work which was scattered throughout the week.

The moral is that sometimes you gotta do something you don't like, but, often, if you look at it as an opportunity to work hard and/or learn, you'll wind up coming out ahead.

Damn, I got hosed. I was working dishes in the cafeteria and I got about $120 every two weeks. I got suckered into that job by a buddy of mine and I think he dropped the job to work in the computer lab after a semester, the bastard. But I got enough money to get me a Gamecube and then some.

1. I go out dancing 4 times a week, meet hundreds of women almost every month. What the fuck are you talking about?

2. Uh, no. Read thread.

3. I don't complain about my free ride to school (I typically brag about that)... I complain about not having enough money to do all the things I want. (Luxuries...) Those things are not really even attainable when I work full time at some shit job anyway. ($8.55/hr * 160 hours a month does not get me enough and all the time I sacrifice would definitely not make it worth it)

I've tried to get jobs at my school but it's pretty useless unless you know the staff or have some kind of in. (At least for the jobs I tried for like the computer lab or whatever. There isn't really any openings anywhere)

I also happen to go to a community college where they're on some pretty hefty budget cuts. :/

Serisouly guys - do you not get what a baller he is? Come one - hundreds of womenz a month!

As for 3. - come on - bragging about the full ride is even worse. It's good to know taht you aren't willing to do the work required to get luxuries. You will probably be one of those people who maxes out their credit cards and takes a larger mortgage than you can afford so you play with toys you can't afford

Good luck with that....

If you really met hundreds of women each month, wouldnt the odds be with you that you could bang one?

Not really a baller... I haven't made millions yet. :hmm: Also, all those women consistently reject me.

Why would I ever be one of those people? I don't even plan to even own a home (I would only do such if it pans out to be an extremely good deal and I am just sitting on barrels of cash) or get a credit card. ():)

That's the beauty of (a) a private school and (b) luck / working hard. The regular job paid $10 an hour I think, but for some reason they tripled it and rounded up to the nearest hour to make sure that we were always there for the handicapped people. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Granted, most college jobs don't pay that well, but working at the library, in the IT department, or even finding a research assistanceship are all easy ways to make a little money and meet lots of new people.

You're still in college and bitching about $9.00. Honestly, you don't even know the meaning of hard work, you consistently look every gift horse you're given in the mouth, and you seem to fail to understand that success comes from hard work. You make your own luck and you put yourself in position to succeed.

Plenty of people have been in positions far worse than yours, falling from $100,000 jobs to working retail (for example). They've taken pay cuts of nearly 80%. Most of them recovered because they didn't mope about it, they busted their asses to get back into their industry.

Again, you make your own luck. Maybe someday you'll understand what I mean.
