Depression is real. You should seek help, and I'm saying this to help and not as an insult.
There are various signs but if suicide is one it is a red flag to seek help immediately.

So...for someone in the OP's general state of mind, what resources does an online forum have to effect some kind of change or improvement?

I would say that with one extra note: mood isn't always generated from thinking (his core concept is that thinking creates feelings). That guy's books are excellent, but I struggled from depression for a long time & a big reason was simply that I had undiagnosed food allergies. It basically made me feel like crap all the time, and for awhile, put my emotions on "mute", which was really difficult because I felt numb all the time. Sometimes you have a disease that causes that as well, or PTSD, or childhood abuse...so sometimes you can talk & think it out, but sometimes you have something physical that is screwing up your neurotransmitters & whatnot that needs attention.

I am glad I read those books, however - I never realized how strong your inner voice was, and that your inner voice doesn't always tell the truth, even though we tend to believe what we tell ourselves. I think a lot of people struggle with self-image too & this is a really good book to help you overcome that distortion that you face, whether it's being a nerd or anorexia or whatever kind of confidence-type of issue you may struggle with.

Something like 50% of people who decide to commit suicide make the decision in less than 20 minutes before they commit the act. That's why there's phone lines for jumpers on bridges...if you're feeling boxed in by your situation, chances are you can be talked out of it because you've basically talked yourself into it. Sometimes the only people that a person has to talk to are anonymous online users, and in some cases, that might be enough to get them out of that mindset. There's a lot of online resources available as well, like this one:

Find a hobby. Play some PC games. Watch some TV. Watch a movie. This always helps me forget about my vast inadequacies.

Dude. Get a passport and leave the country. I am 100% serious. I've been debating it myself for the last few months. I've spent about 4 months total elsewhere in 2014, and I found out I could actually live without Internet and TV. I am slightly lucky in that I could live for about 10 years with no job elsewhere, but I'd be living like a poor man.

Still - I think it's better than staying and watching all my money disappear here in NYC.

If you are serious about killing yourself, it won't hurt to try and just leave for a little bit.

And if you are really serious about killing yourself, seek help now.
 
Sounds like you are coming down off your meds. IT IS TEMPORARY. Things will get better as your brain rewires itself. Do something that you know is relaxing and brings you happiness.

You've been up and down on so many meds just know that its your brain playing tricks on you. Don't cave to the dark thoughts. One day you'll have a nice rush of calming endorphins just because a good song came on the radio and the sun is hitting you in the face and you can feel the warmth on your skin.

I'd highly recommend some guided meditation. Visualizing yourself in a better place would do wonders for you to feel better.

Step one: stop posting this shit.
Step two: do something you enjoy that doesn't involve acting on your schizophrenia, or whatever it is.
Step three: when you're feeling a little better, learn how to talk to other humans without mentioning how everything is awful but would be perfect if only (insert pseudo-scientific bullshit and irrelevant details).
Step four: enjoy others' company knowing that they feel something other than pity or disdain for you.
