I just have a question here. Why does this guy start a thread claiming he wants honest answers, and after he gets honest and thoughtful answers from at least 5 different people, he never bothers to show up or respond to any of the answers. So who is really being dishonest here.

He obviously has read them, understood and agrees with them now. He probably had a revelation that being fair, honest, and having a desire to help, rather than hurt, those less fortunate is the underlying principle of both Democratic thought and the teachings of Jesus.

I wanted answers, so I promised myself I wouldn't check the thread for a few days to give people time to reply. If you look at most of my P&N posts they follow the same recipe.

Asking for input but instead giving mine would be wrong.

So do we have to wait a few more days before you give your responses or what? :D

All I got.right now is:

Trevader really is nuts, isn't he?

I only browsed the thread. I appreciate the thoughtful responses and I'll reply when I have time to give equally thoughtful replies. Contrary to some, I think our differences make this country great. Open discussion and debate is what so many have fought for. Even if I don't agree with everyone, I am grateful to hear a different way of looking at things.
