And to think you were the same member crying yesterday that the board is immature.

Can you post some of the offensive atheist jokes? I'll like to hear some.

What double standard? It appears that a lot of people here are interested in reading more of your atheist jokes...that seems pretty equal to me.

If they aren't offensive. And if they are, do you still want to read them? I don't mind reading Christianity jokes that aren't offensive. But when they cross that line then they shouldn't be posted anymore.

Any statement, joke or otherwise can only be offensive if you choose to let it be offensive. I doubt I would find any of your joke offensives, the only one you posted so far was quite weak. Lame punchline. The reality is that the jokes you find offensive are only offensive because you choose to let them be. Others don't share your opinion on what is offensive and there is no defined definition being that it is an emotional response so unbunch the panties.

So are you saying that jokes that are offensive to black people should be allowed, because the blacks are only letting them be offensive to them? Otherwise they wouldn't be? Puh-lease!

So because I point out what Christians (and their massive lobby) are known to do, that makes me immature?

Get a life.

Yes, I attempted to suggest making the board a better place and I was relentlessly criticized for it. You people have absolutely no room to talk.

I tried, and failed. You don't try at all.

LOL you didn't try anything... you just made a post and whined. Why don't you do what you preach and stop being immature and offensive.

I didn't try to make the board a better place by attempting to eliminate offensive jokes? Man, your getting worse!

It's "You're", and no, I lost pretty badly at the "being nice" game. I've found that on this forum, if you're nice you simply leave yourself wide open for criticism.

I have given up on people like you. You talk smack but you cannot back it up.

I love meeting people outside of forums... quickly their place in the world is suddenly revealed. No hiding behind screen names.

It's good to see that this board is at least an accurate reflection of real life.
BTW you misplaced a comma in the above post - it goes inside the quote. If you're going to be the spelling marm, you better get it 100%.

Thanks for the english lesson. And yes, you are left open for criticism. Thats what happens when you are on a board thats has members with no care for anyone elses feelings. If they did they wouldn't post or condone the activity of posting offending jokes.

True, but I wish it wasn't this way. The attitude has to go both ways. I'd rather have a civilized, mutually respectful conversation with people. But when people are resorting to strong, personal attacks while I try to stick to the topic, it just doesn't look good for me. It leaves little choice but to reply in kind.

If we were talking to me in person you wouldn't be so disrespectful. And no, I'm not going to travel out of the country just to meet some kid.

It leaves choice, you just don't like one of those choices. I don't blame you, losing isn't fun. But sometimes its more important what your fighting for, then whether or not you win.
