he honked 3 times and we both got a pretty much even start, we were neck and neck all the way to 140, and then he slowly walked away, once he started to walk away i got off it at around 145 once i knew i wasnt gonna catch him.... we pulled into a gas station and talked for a few mins, he wanted to see under my hood lol.... couldnt believe an accord hung with him.... i couldnt believe my accord hung with him....
before everyone calls BS, it's not your everyday accord coupe, it's got the red top H22A swap (Euro Prelude moter, 220hp stock) and i have a straight through exhaust, no cats, no mufflers, dumped behind the rear axle, and a custum ram air intake i made myself....
Is that the one with the porch screen air filter?
yeah, it's got two layers of it, it does fine as a filter...
Dude, there is no way that does fine as a filter. You are letting large particles of dirt into your engine.
Get back to us when you spin a main bearing.
it works fine as a filter. it's fine enough to not let big particles in, and besides its way up in the tube, i doubt any particles even make it to the filter much less through the filter.
I choose to conduct this test because of the conflicting information I see in advertisements and have read on the internet. Everyone claims that their filter flows the best, and removes the most dirt. If you think about it, flow and filtration ability are actually linked. A solid piece of metal would prevent any particles from entering the engine, but it wouldn't flow any air at all. On the other hand, the screen used on a window screen will flow well, but won't filter well at all. So if you think about it, the best flowing and best filtering is really contradictory in claim. I wanted to find out which filter really does filter the best, and which one really does flow the best. I have used almost every brand and type of air filter over the years including K&N. I had not used a foam filter until conducting this test. I have used every manner of off the shelf fiberous or paper filter.

And that is your only air filter? If so, it is most definitely NOT effective at all at filtering the air coming into your engine.
Here is a link to an air filter test. I'll quote a bit of it for you:

The amount of particles that get through a typical automotive air filter are measured in parts per million and the particles are very very fine. They would flow through your screen like water through a sieve and right into your engine. Driving your car like that will damage the engine over time. There is plenty of dust and debris floating around in the air that is small enough to get through those screens and mess up your engine.
The only thing those screens are filtering out are leaves, bugs and small rodents...

yea little abrasive particles in your engine/cylinders over time can't be good for power at all.

I raced an F40 once with my turbo supercharged yugo and beat it easily. It was during rush hour and for some reason we were the only 2 cars in the car pool lane. I have a pure hepa filter ram intake I made out of old vacuum parts. I also designed a custom exhaust out of an aluminum baseball bat. He came up behind me and honked his horn as to says lets race, so I stepped on the gas and pulled away from him like he was standing still.
The next thing you know I am in Las Vegas and he catches up to me and we have a hot dog and fruit punch at the am pm and talk about how great the race was. He wanted to check out my ride cause he was shocked on how fast it was. Needless to say he was jealous on how mch cash he spent on the F40 cause my car was faster by at least 60 mph if not more, and the fact remains I still get more chicks then him with my ride. We are now good friends and do perscription drugs together on a weekly basis. He is a famous heart surgeon and I am a very powerfull CEO of a large paperclip company.

why? they only ake 230hp/330ft/lbs of torque stock.
http://www.conceptcarz.com/veh...rolet_Corvette_C4.aspx
Only up until the 1992 model year. More recent versions of the C4had up to 330 hp.
i dont know what year model it was.... just that it was a C4... it might have been the 330hp version.... my car should be making about 250hp to the crank, and i dont know which car is lighter.... im thinking if it was the 230hp version i would spanked it...unless they are lighter than my car...
They'd spank you since in addition to having at least as much HP as you, they have a ton more torque. While your peak HP will be almost as high, their powerband will be much more even and will put out more HP on average. Remember, your engine isn't at its peak HP all the time; most of the time it's struggling to reach the higher RPMs.
i shift at 7500-8000rpm, so im always in VTEC when im getting on it....

im off the drugs, in case you havent been following my threads, i've been clean of all opiates for over a month now, i joined a methadone maintainance program.
the only other drug i use now is Xanax for anxiety, which is prescribed to me.
i've always been a car enthusiast, i've owned 2 modded DSM's, An eagle Talon TSi AWD, and a Eclipse GS-T (fwd turbo)
the Talon had a Big16G turbo, 3" turbo-back exhaust with Apexi N1 Muffler, MBC @ 15 PSI, the Eclipse had the stock 14b turbo at 14psi, i ended up wrecking the Talon, and i blew the head gasket on the Eclipse turning up the boost to high (it was an old moter)...
they were just to much trouble to keep on the road, they were always breaking down..... so i gave up and bought my Accord, i hit a mailbox in it, had full coverage, so they cut me a check, and with the money i bought a JDM H22A, and me and a few friends swapped it in in his garage....

You gave a 100+ word reply that didn't answer his question. Are you dense?
