Here's every Olive Garden commercial ever made: "Hey! My big greasy guido wap guinnea family never shuts the f*ck up!! Until someone says 'who's paying the bill?' hurrrrrrrrrrrr. Seriously as an Italian I have NO idea why ANY Italians would eat there. It'd be like running a chicken stand and your commercials consist of black people eating watermelon and dodging child support.

Yes, but they have endless house salad with tomatoes and olives, and endless bread. The pasta is not bad either.

I couldn't give 2 shits whether their commercials are any good.

Funny but this American of Italian ancestry never saw anything comparable to this in an Olive Garden commercial.
 
1) Try to be more sensitive to racial stereotypes.

2) Olive Garden has nothing to do with Italian food. But it is still good tasting food. Get over it. Stop trying to compare it to authentic Italian food, because it isn't Italian food. Learn to appreciate it for what it is (a cuisine all on its own).
 
I think the commercials about their Italian cooking schools are funny.

Gimme a break!

The saddest part is the fact that 90% of Americans probably view Olive Garden as fine dining because its either that once a year for the anniversary or the Denny's next door.

Lucky for me my German\Polish ancestory doesnt have a plethora of glorified fast food joints based on its food.
 
For what OG charges for their dishes, it's crap. I'd rather go to Macaroni Grill or Maggiano's and pay the same price for food that is 10x better.

Seriously amazes me how you can take crap food, make it UNLIMITED, and people jump all over that sh1t. Woo hoo! Mixed greens with Italian dressing! Breadsticks that are worse than a cardboard tube of Pillsbury from the market! All I can eat? Must be the sh1t!!!!

I don't know where you live that all those restaurants are the same price, but down here, Maggiano's and MG are both quite a bit pricier (~50% at the least) than Olive Garden.

I'll give you that Macaroni Grill has better food for the most part, but Maggiano's is (IMO) disgusting, especially given the price. I've eaten there numerous times, and have never liked any dish I've tried. Their gnocchi were soggy and doused in some weird pseudo-cream sauce (simple tomato paste and olive oil ftw), and their veal had essentially no flavor.

Olive Garden is no mecca of Italian cuisine, but it's an excellent bargain, and I'd choose it over Maggiano's any day. And this coming from a person whose great grandmother hand-made her own ravioli. Mmm, ravioli...
 
Hey, at least its not Applebees....or as my wife and I call it "Crap 'n Pees" after the whole joint stank like an exploded number 2 baby diaper the last time we went there.
