Where you making insane hand gestures and talking to yourself while you typed this? Also, do you have a mustache?

The greasiest.

Lucky for me my German\Polish ancestory doesnt have a plethora of glorified fast food joints based on its food.

Its hard to make a successful chain the sells nothing but fatty sausages. Thats really more of a food cart gig.

I'm guessing you've never had a pierogi. I feel sorry for you now...

2) Olive Garden has nothing to do with Italian food. But it is still good tasting food. Get over it. Stop trying to compare it to authentic Italian food, because it isn't Italian food. Learn to appreciate it for what it is (a cuisine all on its own).

but, but... the commercials say their chefs learn how to cook in a Olive Garden cooking school some Tuscan Italian village

Seriously amazes me how you can take crap food, make it UNLIMITED, and people jump all over that sh1t. Woo hoo! Mixed greens with Italian dressing! Breadsticks that are worse than a cardboard tube of Pillsbury from the market! All I can eat? Must be the sh1t!!!!

Macaroni Grill is far more expensive than Olive Garden, Maggiano's sucks sucks SUCKS! All it is is nice table clothes and bread you dip in their oil mixture to make you forget it' not even good. It's twice the price of O.G. and I wouldn't eat there if you PAID ME. Inside it has the appearance of a fancy restaurant, the prices of a fancy restaurant. The food, not so much so...

Olive Garden owns both for the price. The Chicken Alfredo at Olive Garden is MUCH better than Maggiano's. Macaroni Grill might be better, but for 2 people you will spend a ton more money too.

O.G. is Italian food, last time I checked Lasagna is Italian. It might not be what some of you ATOTers like, but to say it's not Italian is hilarious. I have had "authentic" Italian, I mean the shit you get when you go over to Italy, and it was nothing to write home about. People on here who think true food from Italy is some super uber deliciousness probably haven't had any.

3) Never listen to a commercial. A commercial is there to lie to you enough that you buy their product, but not enough that they can be sued.

Ummmmm.......... racist post?

I don't see how this is a racist post. He is bringing up a stereotype of italians and how it correlates to italian food. He then compares some southern food (fried chicken) to an african american stereotype and states that you wouldnt see that in a commercial.

He isnt saying the african american stereotype is true, just saying that you wouldnt see that stereotype on TV like the italian one.

Although Maggianos is way better than Olive Garden, their menu is pricier than Olive by a decent amount.

I'm not a big fan of Olive Garden. All their food is too salty and garlic-y. Best Italian food I've ever tasted is at this little family owned place in a strip mall near me (yes, even better than the restaurants in Little Italy in NYC)

I've seen the OG commerical and there are no stereotypes like he's bringing up, the fact nobody on here is saying "I thought the same thing!" proves he's on some type of drugs. And even if he was right, there's kind of a huge ass difference between saying Italian ppeople are loud and black people ducking paying child support. One is CLEARLY racist, if you can't figure out which is offensive and which is just a stereotype then I dunno what to tell you.

I find this post hilarious because some of the most blatantly racist people I've ever met were Italians from NYC. I guess the OP is proving the stereotype about Italians to be at least semi true...

You could say, "Man, that Olive Garden commercial really paints Italians in a bad light."

OP chose to say "big greasy guido wap guinnea family".

Ah, I've never seen the commercial. I was taking the OP's word for it. I see your point though.

Exactly! My dad's from Italy and I remember having this exact same discussion when I was growing up. What really pisses me off is that their motto is "Hospitaliano!" (yes, with the exclamation point included). Which isn't a real word in any language.

No, you'd never see an ad with black people sitting around saying "oh lawdy dis waddymelon sho is good! pass me da fried chicken!" It's maybe not quite that bad, but close. Actually it reminds me more of those stupid Outback Steakhouse ads (oh yeah, every Australian is related to Crocodile Dundee and spends all day partying and surfing!).

Fuck you OG. Your food sucks, your ads are racist, and you're overpriced (at any price).

is the TV show Sopranos racist too? The few times I watched it, there was always a scene with a bunch of mostly fat, Italian dudes talkin loud as hell. Far worse than anything I've seen in a Olive Garden commercial. And I've NEVER seen a person get wacked in one of their commercials.
