Oooh, just apologize to the girl .What could that hurt?No one .And you would probably feel a little better about yourself and everyone else would probably feel a little better too.Why make matters worse by ticking them off more.Have some mercy on the poor agitated souls.Be nice. The good will come back to you doubled.

1: Turn that letter into the police just as a precaution.

2: Do his girlfriend next and while your at it make a little audio tape recording of the act and mail that to him that should really piss him off.

It's not his fault that the girl's heart is wandering. He owes no one an apology. Poor judgement? Probably. But last time I checked, you need two people to make out.

Actually, I believe that the letter itself can be considered illegal. As I understand things, it is illegal to use the US postal service to distribute threatening literature. I can see no reason why that law could not logically be extended to include the use of the internet to send threatening literature as well. I agree with all the people who say you ought to turn that letter in to the Police. whoever said that 99.99999% of the time is just hot air was right, but I sure as hell would not want to risk that last 0.00001% of the time. Knowing my luck I'd hit that last 0.00001% dead center. (No pun intended.)

EDIT: I just re-read that letter. Regardless of the danger I imagined I might be in, I would take that guy through legal Hell if tried that with me. By the time I was through with him in court he wouldn't have two pennies to rub together for heat. If you are vinditive enough and have a good enough lawyer, you could get a lot of money for "emotional distress" and other bullsh!t like that. In the very least this guy would end up behind bars for a few months and judging by his letter he'd end up as some large guy's woman very quickly, good punishment I'd say.

After reading your thread topic and all the replies, I would have to say your best option is to take the letter to the police. Even if they don't do anything about it, at least they'll have a pretty good idea who iced you.

People like that scare the bejesus outa me. Psycho freakin' *sshole anyway! Bad thing is, I'd be looking over my shoulder everywhere I went, expecting the bullet at any second. How do you know for sure he wouldn't actually do anything about it? And those two hunting rifles under your bed? Do you plan to take them with you wherever you go, for the rest of your life?

I'd be tempted to pay someone to snipe the SOB, just so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

Yeah, definitely take that letter to the police. -kd5-

it's all worked out, might as well let this thread die..:)

btw, thansk for all the advice, and some of it was pretty entertaining...i went over and did apololigize to that chick (even though i don't consider it my fault)..funny how the guy sure didn't act so threatening in real life, either...;)

anyway, so it's all done with, if i ever hear of anything though, i've got that letter saved.

the odd thing is, someday they'll be thankin' me for giving them something to take their anger out on than me...basically i solved all their problems.....:)...they should be thankin' me....*grins*

Voodooextreme, that's basically it...i just drove over to their house and asked to talk to her, took her outside and apologized (it takes guts to just go up and do that, wow...heh)...anyway, that's basically it..her bf opened the door and basically just said hi and then dissapeared back off inside....heh

and no, i didn't send the letter to the cops, but some of my friends have it, and if anything ever happened to me i'm sure they'd know what to do...also, i found out, he leaves town in ~1.5months, and the gurl leaves sometime next year also, i just hope he doesn't pull his sh*t on some other person out ther someday.
