My troll hunter is 6 bars away from dinging level 47. I have some great gear from Maraudon and Zul'Farrak that I have yet to equip, that won't come until level 48. I also get some sweet new spells at level 48 as well. I'm looking forward to the new rank of Aspect of the Hawk.

Right now, all my points are in Marksmanship but I think I am going to respec Beast Mastery to be able to solo/grind better. I kinda want to PvP a lot at 48-49, and save up to get some of that sweet PvP gear before I ding 50.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR FANTASY TEAM!

Now I'm a huge football fan, and while I don't play fantasy football I certainly don't mind it either, it's just that all it's players have to somehow chime in about their team and how everything in the "real" football world affects their fantasy teams.

All fantasy sports does is cheapen and make the game much more superficial to watch, such that instead of watching games for something other than the stories behind the game, or the personalities behind it, it's turned into nothing more than a game of numbers. If I wanted to deal with numbers I'd go take a math class.

Examples of the superficialness of it all:

a) say you're rooting for a team, the team heads into the red zone, and end up scoring a touchdown. Now in the old days this would be reason for celebration, yes? Not in this world howeveri, it's only cause for celebration if someone on their fantasy team scored, if it was the 3rd string RB who jumped 15 ft into the air over defenders who stacked themselves 3 man-up, it wouldn't matter because that guy wasn't starting for your damn team.

b) You're rooting for a team, and the opposing team is in your redzone. Now normally you'd want everything done so that they don't score right? Wrong, if someone on the opposing team happens to be on your fantasy team, and if they score a TD, you would be rooting FOR them. If you're a Broncos fan, Chiefs fan, or a Bears fan let's say, and you had the first pick in your draft, you'd probably be crazy not to pick LT...but that means you'd have to root for him when he's playing against your team. How un-kosher is that?

Person A: OMG did you see how player x cameback last week after suffering a life threatening injury and was gone for 3 months when no one thought he would but he ended up scoring 3 TDs!!??

Person B: Yeah he totally helped my fantasy team!

Person A: :roll::Disgust;

As its name implies, it's a fantasy, it'd be like if someone constantly kept everyone else updated on how their WoW or Second Life character was doing at the moment, except it'd probably be more interesting. Enough already!

/waits for people to chime in as to how their fantasy team did this week.

No one cares that you don't care. How about growing a thicker-than-paper skin stop being a whiny baby?

I'd say grab the level 40's blue AB gear and the level 48 WSG bracers and you're set. Although I'm not too sure what you picked up from Zul'Farrak other than the Embrace of the Lycan (and hope you didn't piss off any rogues by doing so!) I don't venture too much into maraudon to know what gear would be good though :x. One thing you can try working on would be going into BRD for Arena runs. There's some good mail armor there, but I can't remember the exact stats so it might be tailored more toward shamans than hunters (i.e. strength as I believe it has +28 crit rating on it).

Does anyone think Edge or Mark Clayton will come up big tonight? Both their performances could be the difference between going 2-2 or 0-4 to start the week :(

yep. noticed it yesterday. Im not a huge football fan by any means. But I went to my friend's house yesterday to hang out and watch the games with them. It seemed to me that they cared more about how their FF team was doing than the game going on right in front of them. They spent more time in front of the comp than in front of the TV. All good, cuz when they were gone, I switched it to the US Open Men's Finals.

The thing is, When watching football, unless you're watching your own team play, you are more worried about FF teams, most likely, because you have money riding on your FF league. With most guys, your talk of FF is kept to a minimum when your favorite team is on, because even if you FF players are on the opposing team, you want that player to do well, but not well enough to beat your team.

Make sense?

That's my point exactly, it cheapens the game and the way people watch it that way. How you can root for an opposing player against your childhood team is beyond me, it's just completely wrong. Sports should be about sports, it should be about winning and losing, it should not just depend on certain players getting the most yards or scoring more TDs than someone else..

you must be kidding, watching sports on tv is a joke, you can't do anything to cheapen it, it's mindless entertainment with or without the fantasy crap.

Sorry you and the OP had crappy drafts it isn't our fault.

I can give you Joe Horn if you like I hear he is good in real estate at least.

Sorry that you're completely illiterate and can't read the part about how I DON'T PLAY FANTASY FOOTBALL.

idk, FF was what got me back into football last year. They did a league at work and i joined not knowing what i was doing, still don't know what i am doing in FF; it keeps me interested in what is happening around the league rather than just watching my team's game and being done with it.

Though, I also don't in front of the computer checking every 30-secs how my stats are doing. I check Sunday night, and Tuesday morning, do my changes for the coming weekend and make any necessary trades. Each one takes differently i guess.

Yeah, I am 48 right now, and I think I am going to stop for a bit once I hit 49 just to get some of the PvP gear. I just really hate AB -- and I wish everything didn't cost me so many marks of honour. I have plenty of honour points left over from when I PvP'd like a madman at 29.

What level is BRD? I thought that was mid fifties or so?

What's worse is when I actually go to NFL games, and there are 4 middle aged douchebags in front of me constantly on their cell phones checking fantasy updates and drinking their 7.25 glasses of bud light. They barely even pay attention to the game (which they payed 85$ a ticket for), and use horrendous terms such as "Pick 6".

I hate it worse when the opposing team scores, and they say "oh, well at least he was on my fantasy team".

Then you have the people that have multiple fantasy teams..."Well, I have LT on this team and LJ on that team, and the Bears defense on my free team..." Try to talk to them about the Cover 2 defense, or what an I-Back does, and they just give you a funny look.

Did you read my post? I don't read FF threads, I read threads about FOOTBALL, but instead of people actually talking about football it turns into a FF thread.

Rule one of your fantasy team, LEARN how to spell your players' names.

You need another defense, cowboys might play good some weeks but man is their secondary vulnerable (coming from a cowboys fan).

No way Crumpler should be your starting TE, falcons don't really have any other good options so defenses are going to smother him. I think he will get maybe 2 TDs the entire season.

Other than that, your RBs and WRs look good, QB is iffy.

QFT, you could do better than Kitna, and lose Dallas Def. I would definitely trade for a better TE, but you're money in your RB and WR 's...
