I get more annoyed with the threads going "HALP! How is my Fantasee footbawlz team!!!11!" This isn't General Hardware, we don't care about your "build."

I'm just annoyed that I will be hearing about it nonfuckingstop at work from multiple people until the season ends. Some general sports talk is fine, I just don't want to be bombarded with the FF talk alll.....day.....long.

Sorry you and the OP had crappy drafts it isn't our fault.

I can give you Joe Horn if you like I hear he is good in real estate at least.

It simply comes down to your level of interest - in anything. Fantasy sports are just an example. Some people are into computers, others build them. Some people are into art, others are artists, etc etc...

That said, it's pretty cliche for a bunch of nerds to bag on sports. Not that the OP or anyone else on ATOT is a nerd...

I agree. I mean, I play fantasy hockey, but I'm not like that. What annoys me is the number of posts we get asking for help with final fantasy decisions. i.e. which RB should I play? Did I draft a good team? Should I take this trade? It's an individual effort! Do it yourself!

I don't wander the office for months on end talking incessantly about my system or what game I'm playing. People come into my cube to talk about FF when it is abundantly clear I have zero interest.

Coming into your cube is one thing, but you're going to hear people conversing about it around any office. You're are going to hear a lot of things you don't really give a sh!t about...that's just the way it works. Put on some headphones...and have a midol.

yep. noticed it yesterday. Im not a huge football fan by any means. But I went to my friend's house yesterday to hang out and watch the games with them. It seemed to me that they cared more about how their FF team was doing than the game going on right in front of them. They spent more time in front of the comp than in front of the TV. All good, cuz when they were gone, I switched it to the US Open Men's Finals.

The thing is, When watching football, unless you're watching your own team play, you are more worried about FF teams, most likely, because you have money riding on your FF league. With most guys, your talk of FF is kept to a minimum when your favorite team is on, because even if you FF players are on the opposing team, you want that player to do well, but not well enough to beat your team.

Make sense?
