I reread the relevant portion of your [original] post. (God save me from your ramblings. 😛) I still do think that it is a clear-cut case of "I'm not interested", and your strong and frantic words did scare her. However, I do not think that your chance to form a relationship with her is gone ? just probably not the type you hope. Her statement to me appears to show interest in opening up a conversation. To me, she is saying, " Um, I don't really know you, so I don't understand the rush and frantic behavior. Therefore, I am not interested. In addition, I do not have any desire to have Shawn and Katie's type of relationship, much less with you. I will leave it at that because I do not wish to discuss my personal view of their relationship, lest it sounds like a gossip."

The last portion of her statement ("I'll just leave it at that"), especially, invites a conversation. I don't know if you want to be gossiping about friends; but if you care to, you stand a chance of becoming friends with Megan ... except with a little chance of dating. I sense more of the friend zone, which I doubt is what you want; and even that would only happen if you persisted.

Just my point of view; the only plausible interpretation that I think could be made other than an absolute rejection.

You called WAY too many times, you should not have IM'd her like that either.
You also should never have said anything about commitment/love, that definitely scared her
off.

One call was enough, and if she did not return it within a few days, that should have been
more than enough for you to back off.

Move on, the girl is not interested.

But anyways, here's a little secret:

Women want what they can't have, and they easily get bored with what they do/can have.
You gotta keep a girl's interest level up by

1) Being sort of a challenge to get, ie. not acting like you're desperate
2) Not telling her all the little facts and details of your life, until you've been together for a long while
3) Having a sense of humor, and being funny (NOT jack@$$ kind of funny)
4) It helps if you look good, but drinking all those soda's is not gonna help you

Point is, women dont really know what they want. They complain how a guy waits 3 days after a date to call them, but if you call them too often, the see you're desperate, and get bored with you. Go fugure...

Chill out, you are trying way too hard. You are comming off like a stalker and that isn't cool.
Give it some time and maybe she will take an interest, but I don't think that it is likely.
 
call her one more time and tell her you can't see her anymore cause your doctor said you got to cut out sweets.
