I don't use commercial, social networking sites. I have a phone and email, and magically they have been melded into a single device called the smartphone. Getting in touch with me is easy. I do use LinkedIn for work though.

i could access facebook, twitter (i dont have a twitter, and never will), myspace and all those on my smartphone as well, so txt is just one form of communication available to you. i check my fb and ms once in a while, check on my kid and some of the friends and such. i use linkedin for work as well, but i have all the apps blocked on fb and ms. annoys the hell out of me to get spam from friends to help them with their bakeries, farms, aquariums and such.

Been toying with the idea of using Facebook. Yet, I have not achieved anything in life that would justify my public display.

When you have little to tell about yourself, when friends have already progressed farther in life, you can become laughing stock. When you have achieved a lot more than others then you are envied and hated by all.

My friends are idiots who email me pics all the time. OH JOY I get to see them drinking, with their kids, making retarded poses. The plus side is I don't have to log into a web site that tracks what I do to see the pics. I see my friends in real life, and the out of state ones email dumb shit all the time, so it's not like I'm going long stretches of times without talking to them. I interact with my friends perfectly fine using Yahoo Mail, even better in fact because when I email most of them they get it instantly on their blackberry or iPhone. Social Networking sites are slower methods to accomplish the same shit I can do in Email. Very pointless. As for the ending I would gather it makes me look like an incredibly intelligent person, because I do shit the fastest and easiest way.

ok, so you email them and they have to open the email program and download the message. they send a mail on fb, it notifies you via email/ sms. you open the fb app (already logged in) and see the message. how is email so much stunningly faster than the fb app that is available for any phone that can do data? id say your hatred is more personal than logical at this point, you are like a 93 yr old person that grew up without color tv, so dammit you wont have any of that. also, the benefit to the fb way it, if there are pics/ events/ other info they feel like giving you, its already there at the tip of your fingers instead of linked in an email for you to open a browser and get to.
