I've already got my finish planned out: (hopefully from old age, in my sleep!)

1. Donate the used parts to anyone who can recycle them

2. Go to space!

I'm constantly amazed at what other people can use. When my wife's grandpa passed away, a gentleman stopped by the house after the funeral to drop off a note. Turns out he had been blind for like 7 years due to a workplace accident. Thanks to her grandpa's body-part donations (eyes), he was able to see again. I don't know if it was a cornea issue or retina issue or what, but I had NO IDEA that that was even possible! Really amazing that a loss could lead to someone else's life-changing experience!

We recently shot down the space balloon Alien probes.
so the The mothership has been alerted and is coming.

kill both of your birds with 1 stone:
be captured and brought up to the mothership in space to be fed to their hatchling children

mom said toss me on the compost pile. That didn't happen, but one of the fam got 86'ed from her favorite sports venue for scattering a very small sprinkle of her ashes there. They watch for that shit!

The composting thing is being done now...just not on the pile behind the garage, heh.

Most public lands/places are open to scattering ashes, but private property you obviously need permission from the owners.

I made a joke a couple months back about Office Space and only like half my team got the joke. I realized it was the older half so I was in the group with the 50+ year old guys while a buncha damn kids (who I hired) had never seen the movie. Hell several had never even heard of it. And we work in IT!
I'm still mad about Office Space. I had to read on in your post to see it wasn't about one of the TV series (i.e. UK's or US's) but about the movie. The opening sequence of Office Space is so epic. I identify with Office Space especially because like the protagonist I did some Y2K code scrubbing with dBase software. I own two versions of the movie (had to upgrade to anamorphic!) and watch it every so often.

So, my best advice to you youngin's (lol) is stay on top of your health especially your blood-sugar and your cardiac-fitness even if you've never been told there's a problem.
Yeah, and this is controversial (and not for sure, I guess?) but go light on the sodium could keep you from developing high blood pressure, which isn't good for you. Uh, stay sane.

David Crosby (who just checked out) said: “I’ve always said that I picked up the guitar as a shortcut to sex and after my first joint I was sure that if everyone smoked dope there’d be an end to war,” Mr. Crosby said in his 1988 autobiography, Long Time Gone, co-written with Carl Gottlieb. “I was right about the sex. I was wrong when it came to drugs.”

Yeah, I've read that cursive isn't being taught in many schools/districts anymore. I recall discussing whether it mattered or not in another thread here...based on how much handwriting is used anymore. A signature is it for most people.

I learned calligraphy when I was in grade school, and always had good handwriting. These days (due to issues with hands, and being out-of-practice), it's hard to even write a note to someone in cursive and have good 'flow' in the lettering.
Isn't the idea that you can write faster in cursive? What do they teach these days?

Uh, is it possible I can get an eye donation so I can actually have normal color vision? I'm congenitally color blind, lack green cones.

I always feel old when I realize that some tech that I grew up with is more or less considered ancient by younger generations. Someone that is 19 years old and can now drink has probably never used floppies or dialup for example. Heck, someone that is that age was born several years after 9/11. They see that event as history the same way I would see something like Pearl Harbour. It's talked about and is part of history but they were not born to actually witness it happen.

My body also makes me feel old. My feet are basically shot now. Even if I wanted to be more active my body would limit me. While before, if I wanted to go for a run or long walk or something, I could just do it without even thinking about it.

I think space coffins are a good idea, then maybe aliens will find the humans inside and resurrect them.

You don't look that old. Sure that proper foot care won't help your feet?

I was given orthotics last year, but considering I'm sitting most of the time I don't think that will actually fix the problem just make it a bit more barable when I actually am on my feet. Started last year. Got morton's syndrome. This year it's not morton's but the achillies tendon. Not quite as bad as last year as I can at least still walk while last year I couldn't at all, and I get the odd day where it's not as bad as others. But it greatly limits my mobility as if I go for a long walk or even do work that requires being on my feet most of the day, I pay for it. I have a feeling the morton syndrome will come back though, it's currently being masked by a cortizone shot I got last year, so that's probably going to wear off sooner or later.

What about using a foot massage machine under your desk?

Do any of those color-blind glasses work for your version?

I am feeling kinda old these days. I should grow a lawn so I can yell at people to stay off it. Also I should yell at clouds.

I grew up with the original Doom. Classic Doom for DOS and Windows 95. (Still a great game today, and with so many variations/mods/TCs) These days all kids have is Fortnite and Roblox.

I joked the other day to my kid that they have 3D games much better than Roblox he was playing and they should check them out. What a joke that it's so popular still. That and Minecraft. They're teenagers.

BTW, you want old? Commodore 64 old...

"Atari some model" old here.

It had a cassette tape recorder.

During a demonstration to some stupid kids, it fell to the floor. Don't remember if it was my fault or their fault. They split immediately, probably afraid that they would get blamed if it did not function properly. It never did. It would run for like a minute or two, loading the game but some error would get thrown up the moment the game was supposed to launch. One of my childhood regrets. Missed out on playing Moon Patrol to my heart's content. And probably many other fun games too. Why do some people have cruel things happen to them in their childhood? I mean, imagine all the fun games I could have played!

my family has a history of high blood pressure.
so i havent added salt to any meal i make for decades.

i wont ask for 'no salt' on the dishes at restaurants but i also dont add salt from the shaker either.
i am shocked at how many people add salt to the same dish i'm having.

Even so, just what properties do your shoes possess?
Is the rear sole stiff?
Where does it bend? Does the whole thing fold like a tent? Does it bend in the middle of the arch, or at the toes.
Is the heel rigid?

Having salt makes some people insane. This guy in my office was telling me to add some salt to the red kidney beans salad I was eating in the kitchen, so I could "enjoy" the taste more. At that moment, I realized that his face looked bloated from water retention and he looked much older than the last time I had taken a good look at him. Salt is DEADLY in excess.

Also, some researcher did a study on kidney function. He found that mixing salt and sugar in the same meal is the worst thing you can do for your kidney function because it increases blood pressure far more than either of those taken alone.

That was sort of the thought, but it originated from older writing implements (quills and older styles of pen), and a fairly recent study found that it wasn't particularly faster among children.
They teach typing these days :p

Yeah my 14yo is excited to prove to me his typing test score of something like 80wpm. A real keyboard - not the dang phone screens.

I learned to type fast because of MUD games in college. Who's with me?
