I don't get it, why in the HELL would anyone want to stay in a marriage where a small issue such as this would be enough to end it.
If that is what your relationship is worth to your wife then she has probably already found herself a new man, she just forgot to tell you. No, i am not joking.

I'd rather wait and go with my wife some other time, so I could experience Europe with her.

If you WANT to go to Europe rather than be with your wife, I'd say your priorities are mixed up.
This is a bad sign for longevity....

I'll stay home with her!
i'll let her know, she'll probably want a resume/pics/crime record...![]()
You know what the really smart compromise is?... Get her a ticket to fly out for the weekend... meet her in venice or something... bring diamonds... accomplish freedom, friends, and romance all at the same time....
-Max
Now that is a great idea, if you got the dough for it.

I have read this time and time again, if you are going to stay married, then do NOT concentrate only on eachother, there is no romantic dream to fulfill, marriage changes nothing.
For longevity, if he goes it IS an extremely good sign, if he stays, he will have to do the same forever, i'd give such a marriage 6 years max.
But hey, what do i know, i am divorced and have had more girfriends than your girlfriends have dreamed of.

i said get in the kitchen and make me a pie...close enough?
Yeah, its close enough.
always add the word bitch to the end of the demand, women love that.
For example, Make me a pie bitch.

Whereas I am very happily married for many years now.
Yes, you need some time to yourselves now and then, but leaving for a long period of time over a holiday, choosing friends and adventure over the wife, is NOT a good thing.
You don't concentrate ONLY on each other, but if they're not your first or second priority you'll soon be finding that family breaking apart. I've encountered many a boss who say that job should be your #1 priority. It's little wonder they're bitter, depressed and divorced. Every one of 'em.
my family is #1 priority. Yes I'll have some "me" time, but the happiness of my family is extremely important - and that goes FAR beyond providing them with material posessions while I run off to work barely acknowledging their presence.
