If fiscal responsibility is a primary factor for you then every likely Dem candidate has a better idea of how to pay for their plans than Trump. Partly because Trump has no sensible plan for anything he does, but also because Republicans as a whole prefer to just increase the debt to fund military expansion. So not only do they not pay for their spending, but they spend it in areas that are less beneficial for the country. So even if you are skeptical about a Dem candidates spending plans then you at least know there will be some sort of attempt to actually pay for those investments in education, healthcare, etc. Rather than just another loan for yet another aircraft carrier or giant statue of Trump.

Now some Dem candidates have more fleshed out plans than others. I have no doubt that even Sanders plans will end up being adjusted for various reasons. But in the area of fiscal responsibility there isn't a logical argument for voting Trump.

Good news and congratulations. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And everybody has to begin from where they are. If I read your words correctly, it seems to me that what you are saying is that you began with contempt for Washington Politics and hoped for its destruction and were let down by a claimant to carry out such a crusade. In my opinion, the problem you faced was that the problem isn't with what you view to be contemptable, but that you live in that state. Now you have included Trump in it. You have transcended the delusion that he's a white knight, but have yet to see that what drives your opinions is the feeling that Washington is contemptable. That's all well and good if you do not add into that the notion of blame. You can't blame Trump for who he is anymore than those who criticize you here have a right to blame your reluctant realization, any more than you can blame Washington for being corrupt. This is very important to understand in my opinion because the origin of contempt lies in being made to feel self contempt via accusation of our own bad behavior. We learned we would be despised if we acted like that, acted like everybody will if pushed as children. This illness can only be overcome by forgiveness of the self and we practice that by trying to forgive others.

The farther down the path you go in that direction, the less you will blame others for what they have yet to forgive themselves for. Hatred is hard to defeat. But it's what we need to do, I think.
