It is probably still a good deal at $200 or maybe even $250 to be honest, and if I don't get one from an order, I might consider one for $200.
 
Ah, just called Best Buy and "persuaded" them into giving back my $9.53 in shipping (since others received FREE shipping)! :biggrin:
 
Crap, just got the "we have canceled your order and you will not be billed for this amount" email from B&N. Guess I'll just have to keep checking this thread for new leads.

Did you have expedited shipping? I placed mine yesterday morning at 7:21am and still is "in progress".

So, just read your other post. You paid for shipping and so yours shipped... I see, we "free shipping" people must've been less priority. 😛

And then you got a shipping refund?
 
People who've ordered from HP Small Business, did you get hit with the $20 shipping charge, or did they remove that?

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how they're shipping orders. My order went in at about 8 AM yesterday and on Slickdeals, a guy who ordered at 8:07 AM already got shipping confirmation and another guy who ordered at 7:47 AM got shipping confirmation as well.

Well, this would be my second tablet if it ships. I am content with one, but just waiting and wondering if this one is legit too.
I ordered both ways hoping one would come through.

I think this is probably my only shot because onSale is going to cancel orders, though they have told people they're searching the channel to see if they can pull in more to fill all the orders.

I paid for regular ground shipping and just got a refund on it! 😛

They are still holding out on the deal. I didn't realize that companies had the option of how much to sell them for. I'm surprised a lot of companies didn't try selling them for more just to make a profit. I'm sure most people would still pay $20-30 more.

So I haven't been paying much attention to this deal. There are like 364 left. Are they honoring the $99 price (all of these etailers) even thought the websites all say like $449 and what not?

When I called they said no, and they haven't decided if they will honor the liquidation price in the next few days. She said that if they do the site will be updated.

When ordering I did, and that total still shows up on their base 'Order Status' page, but the 'Order Status Details' page updated with the actual shipping cost shortly after I received the shipment status e-mail. In my case, the 'line item detail' for the shipping charge is $4.29.
 
Gotta figure many sellers have no stock, they get product from distributors, or may have distributors drop ship orders directly to buyers, so it may be days or even weeks before all the dust settles, not even considering product must still be in production that HP is contractually obligated to pay for.

The good dealness remains to be seen, and I have more than one "great deal" that ended up getting ZERO use.

Sure there might be a few suckers who pay $200+ on ebay for one of these in the next couple of weeks, but most will realize they missed the deal and move on with the rest of their lives after they realize they probably didn't need a tablet in the first place.

Go have a look on ebay, they are selling. Plenty feel at under $300, they are getting a deal. A few weeks is all it might take for people to resell them, make some cash and not look back.
