It's your head, why should she be pissed?

Seriously though, Google "Alopecia Totalis". You might want to get in to see a Dermatologist although a cure is not guaranteed. I was cured of Alopecia Areata. It's an autoimmune disorder.

I did that once after I got tired of messing with my hair (or lack thereof due to receding hairline). One day I just shaved it off. My wife was more upset that I didn't give her the heads up more than the act itself so I think your wife will be ok since you gave her plenty notice. After a couple days she actually thought it was pretty neat. Too bad I don't have that cool Lex Luthor round shape head so I let the hair grew back. I may go back to permanent bald look once the receding line get pushed back far enough. Just say no to combovers.

Before she gets home, go get your scalp tattooed. That will really impress her!

Where is the "who cares what your wife thinks" option in the poll?

Oh yea, because once your married you can't do a single thing without the wife's permission.

All of you people saying that your wife would be pissed.... does she ask you for permission before she changes her hair?

Mine does. I think it's good that she's still mindful of what I find attractive.

I think she'll be surprised, but nothing more. She might start rubbing it for good luck though. :)

There was a girl on Jeopardy last week who shaved her hair off just because "it makes things much more simple", or something to that effect, she wore a wig. She also claimed that she hates wearing clothes.

If you really want to shock her, put on a dress as well and tell her you're ready to make long overdue wholesale changes to your life.

If we don't get a reply, can we assume she didn't like it?

I've receded quite a lot for my age, but can't bring it upon myself to shave it off. It would just be too much of a change. I'd like to find a way to do it gradually, but who knows. I think the fiance would be extremely pissed if I shaved it off though. Only one way to find out I guess...

Maybe she'll want to take you out in public again now that you don't look like a mangy old dog anymore. ;)

Glad you had the sense to shave it, I see people all the time who have the half crown that would look better by just shaving it

Gradually would've been fine, this was just wrong. Most of the hair I had left wasn't growing, if I ran my fingers through my hair I'd have 15-20 dead hairs in my hand afterwards. Going from a full head of hair to this in about 2 months just sucks, but nothing I can do about it :)

Still alive BTW, but she's still at work.

If you have a nicely shaped head it will be fine. If you don't you'll look stupid. We need pics to determine whether you look goofy or not.
