Never. At this point I see it more as a guy's fashion accessory and nothing more.

Nope. Either cell phone or none at all. I extremely rarely (wedding or funeral) wear a pocket watch. I usually need to replace the batteries between the events I go to.

Batteries? In a pocket watch? General rule of watches: If it takes a battery, it's not a dress watch.

This made me LOL because it is so not true. ZM and knowledge of watches are diametrically opposed.

I've never seen a quartz watch that I thought had any quality to it. And yes, that includes some very expensive quartz watches. No matter how nice the case and face may be, the "movement" always looks the same. It's just not a precision instrument and no matter how expensive it is I'll never consider any battery-operated watch to be a "dress" watch.

A dress pocket watch is something like my 1909 Waltham with it's 18k hunting case. A dress pocket watch is not the $50-$100 quartz junkers that they sell at JC Penny's.

Call it anachronistic, but I will never be caught wearing a quartz watch unless someone slips one onto my cold, dead, wrist.

i have a bunch of watches, yet never carry or wear any of them. i do love the swiss army belt watch my dad gave me, as well as the harley custom poccket watch i got for graduation from a friend, but i just cant seem to get myself to wear one anymore. i was a serious cclok watcher when i wore/ carried a watch, im ok with not having one around now. cell phone is in the pocket if i really need to know what time it is.

Almost never, only when I have to wear a suit.

I have a good general idea of time and my phone handles the job. The reason I asked is because a friend just bought a Breitling (sp?) big heavy thing for an ungodly amount of money. We needled him about it because my free phone does the same thing for thousands less. I know his track record before with women so in a few months I will update this and see what it has or hasn't done. Some guys are watch guys and have a number of expensive ones. Me not so much but of course I have a $300 Swiss Army which really isn't impressing anyone lol.

If you think THAT'S unimpressive, I have a $15 Timex I got from walmart, and I don't even know where it is.

I pretty much put it on when I wake up and take it off when I go to bed, work day or weekend.

To disgust you even more, it's not even a true 'pocket' watch most of the time; instead, it's a semi-classy looking belt loop clip-on watch I got at either Kohl's or Marshall's. I just pop the clip part off and toss it in my suit coat.

I wear a Rolex Explorer I, and I've been to a few clubs in my time. I've never had a comment on it. Most people recognize the Submariner as a Rolex, but not so much the Explorer (part of the reason I bought it instead of the Submariner actually). I've actually had people say, "That's a Rolex? But it doesn't have the bubble." :D I like the classic, almost vintage look.

That being said, I've had several women notice my watch and make comments on it. Every single one of them also owned a Rolex though, so not sure what that means other than that they know Rolexes.

I have a very nice-looking but fairly inexpensive Kenneth Cole stainless steel wristwatch that I always wear when I go out. It's a fashion piece really.

If I leave home and I want to follow some kind of schedule, then I wear it. Other than that, it sits on a desk somewhere. I don't care for the feel of the band rubbing against my wrist; I find it to be distracting, like having someone whispering into my ear constantly.

Anytime I leave the house. I have 5 watches I cycle through.. some cheap Swatches, a Tag Carerra, and a moderately priced Seiko.
