My wife still wears one, but I've stopped, for the same reason as everyone else, phone has the time. I only wear one now when I surf, since even my MP4/MP3 player provides the time when I'm out running or MTBing.

Every day unless I forget. Easier to just look at my wrist than grab out the phone and have to put it back.

I have a good general idea of time and my phone handles the job. The reason I asked is because a friend just bought a Breitling (sp?) big heavy thing for an ungodly amount of money. We needled him about it because my free phone does the same thing for thousands less. I know his track record before with women so in a few months I will update this and see what it has or hasn't done. Some guys are watch guys and have a number of expensive ones. Me not so much but of course I have a $300 Swiss Army which really isn't impressing anyone lol.

Nope. Either cell phone or none at all. I extremely rarely (wedding or funeral) wear a pocket watch. I usually need to replace the batteries between the events I go to.

It's not a good idea to shower with your watch on, even if it's highly water resistant. The seals aren't intended to weather both heat and moisture like that, and you are much likelier to experience problems up to and including the premature death of the watch if you subject it to this.

lol...I have a $100 Seiko that comes out of the drawer about 3 times (max) a year. I never was a jewelry guy and I hate the feel of a watch on my wrist. I'm not generally impressed by what people wear. Someone I work with showed me their $3K+ Rolex and was a little offended when I basically shrugged and just said "That's nice".

I put it on when I'm leaving for work and take it off when I get home from work.

On days when I'm testing myself, I wear it when I run to time my splits. That's my only exception.

Everytime I leave the house.

I do take it off at work though because I do not want to scratch the laptop.

I have my cell phone so there isn't much of a reason for me to have a watch. I've always kind of wanted one for a fashion accessory but at the same time that's all it would be for me.

Everyday and always. However, I take it off at work cause it kinda gets uncomfortable, and Windows tells me the time:).

As for those who don't wear it, you better not be one of those people on the street who hawk me down the street. Then when I get close, proceed to ask "Hey buddy, what's the time?".

A few days out of the week...I don't have a beater watch anymore, so I'm not wearing it when I'm only going to be at the gym and hanging around the house. If I'm going out and there's anybody worth seeing, then I'll put it on.

Man, this argument is the most ridiculous! You use your phone because its easier to fumble around in your pocket than it is to look at your hand? Actually, i picture you with a holder attached to your belt. Even that is harder than looking at your hand. Yes, i wear a watch every day. I rather enjoy watches actually.

Holders are for like old/mid-age business guys. Young guys keep it in their pocket. Funble in your pocket? Hello what else do you have in your pocket? A switchblade? A lighter? Matches? A flashlight? I don't get it. Wallet in my back pocket. Keys in my left. Cell in my right. Bam.

The convenience is in that the phone is becoming an all-in-one device. I don't have an iPod anymore because my phone is designed as an MP3 player.

A watch is mainly for the looks now. I usually go for my cell phone even when I have my watch on. I don't know why.

Plus, it's hard to type with my watch, so what's the point of wearing it when I type at work and nef at home...
