how heavy and what height are you?

A six foot 150 pound person should be able to lift around 100 IMO

That's about how I was. When I started I could only bench about 95lbs or so. I got up to about 145 before I finally got lazy and quit.

I definitely don't do much physical activity, so less than that for me.

I'm about 5'8", 135 lbs. I'm a skinny dude. I think that's like, four pounds underweight.

Yeah, but those buttocks are so powerful they could wipe themselves.

I'll say, try benching a curling bar. It's 20lbs.

Then try the olympic benching bar = 45lbs. I'll stop you there.

Without proper form, I'd say somewhere around 75% of his body weight with that % rapidly diminishing as body weight starts to surpass the 200 pound mark.

i work at a gym and deal with questions like this all day. it really depends on what your overall build is (even people that same height will have very different capabilities due to build size). for 5'8" 135 you should probably be able to do at least 80-90 (assuming dont work out at all).
