95 Accord DX

sedan, 4-speed automatic
I used to get ~31mpg mainly driving on the highway, but now with the cold and doing mostly city driving I get ~26mpg

Hmm, I'm thinking if I should get an Accord or the Mazda3 ... hmmmm

The Mazda3 looks sportier, but the Accord might be a better car overall. It is bigger than the Mazda, will have a better resale value, gets better gas mileage, performance will be similar if I don't get the V6 and has just as many features if not more.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the Accord even though it is not as sporty as a Mazda3.

Tell me guys, is it weird to see a young guy in an Honda Accord? Should I feel ashamed and get a Mazda3 instead or get the better car?

You'll have plenty of time to get sportier cars later (I personally plan to buy a Porsche in 2038... If I win the lottery of course). Get the Accord first and if you don't like it, sell it in a couple of months (looks like used Honda's have a higher price tag than brand new ones. lol)

Whatever you get, enjoy !

Rockin' an 88 LXi 4cyl 5spd coupe, I get 29mpg in day-to-day "rural" driving (not city, i live out in the hills of WV) and close to 35 highway. i <3 my accord, but i'd really like one of the 06 v6 5spd 4dr.

I get 22mpg but I drive fast 🙂

that is the 2.7 liter 🙁 lucky to get that!

I had an '86 hatch

but now drive a '94 4dr LX MT I get about 29mpg 🙁

Traded in my '92 Accord for an '06 Accord. Great car, about 39MPG hwy (4 cyl., man.). The only nit I could pick would be a slightly larger blind spot compared to my '92.

Don't own one, and never will, unless it's free. Then I'd probably just sell it and use the money to upgrade my Beetle.

Got a '98 Coupe with 68K miles. My friend works at a honda dealer so maintenance is VERY cheap for me. Keeps me from buying another brand.
