How many of you are old enough to know what these are for?

😱

Nope, I had seen them on records before at home, but I had no idea what they actually did until I just looked it up.

Is it for the middle of a vinyl record so that it stays center when it spins? That would be my guess...

Yeah when I didn't have one I'd just wing it and it worked but sometimes the record would be a little eccentric so the pitch went up and down. If it was really off it would be quite obvious except on some of those parties where everyone was passed out. 😀

Hehhehe, used them all the time. I liked the the on spindle 45 changer adapter better. If you stacked these on a changer they would often pop out.

I had a Garrard with one of those and sometimes it would drop two records! Being able to stack half a dozen singles and have jams while working out was nice. Compared now to ipods that can hold days of music. Sick!

Heh, I sure do - had LOTS of 'em when I was a kid in the late mid-late 70s and early 80s.

OK, I'll raise ya one...

How many remember THESE THINGS and what they were used for?

That made it easy to serve Hawaiian punch for sure! 😛

Wasn't it for jukebox purposes?

Could've been although the first jukeboxes were '78s. I remember getting dizzy as a kid watching them play and trying to read the label. It was going so fast!
