53 WPM, no errors.
Man, I've really slipped. In highschool I could do 80 WPM.

since when did typing accuracy matter? You can mistype words left and right in Word, and it will autocorrect :)

65wpm net.

Typing tests are rather silly because they never contain text that you would actually type on a day to day basis.

That's precisely the point. What good is a typist that can hit 150 when typing the same damn thing over and over when they can't quickly transpose written or spoken words at the same rate? Of course you're going to be faster if you have practiced typing the same word/phrase over and over...

84 WPM gross - 1 error = 83 WPM net. I almost always go back to correct my mistakes. If I don't, I end up making a string of errors for 4 words that hurts my score even more.

Man.. I normally am above average fast, but you're ****** off the scale super fast.

Honestly, I'm not really that fast compared to the guys on TyperA.. I'm pretty much just "excellent" there. Those guys are foxing insane.

And on the top 100 on typingtest.com, there's a guy who got a net 170 WPM, so there's people that are obviously faster than me. IMO, typingtest.com sux cuz you can pretty much "practice" the same thing over and over again until you drill it into finger memory.

I think IRL practice, I don't think I'd be able to type better than 135-140 wpm or so for a sustained period of time.

If you'd just get your accuracy up, you'd probably beat me quite easily. Maybe you need to grind a few more coffee beans from your pantry. ;)
