How Fast Can You Type?

Typing Test, Use Default Settings

I got 45WPM, I pretty much type with two fingers. 😱 I can type most of the time without looking at the keyboard.

Who can get the title of fastest ATOT typer? Take a screenshot if you think you can compete.

🙂

Fastest ATOT typers so far:

1st Joedrake 170 WPM net

2nd Otaking 167 WPM net

3rd Descartes 146 WPM net

Who can beat them and knock them out of their spots?

Gross: 72 WPM

Net: 67 WPM

I can probibly do better, but I didn't realize the test was starting for the first 5 seconds or so.

109 WPM, 97% accuracy

Edit: On Typera I usually get around 100 also (2 minute test).

Edit 2: I find Typera better because they give you random sentences. These sentences flow like an actual essay. Truth is you need to be able to type random crap too, even if it doesnt make sense.

65 Net, 94% on DVORAK

77 Net, 93% on QWERTY

I used to be in the 85-90 range on qwerty until I started trying to learn dvorak... (I've only been doing the dvorak thing for a couple months -- considering it flows much better than qwerty, I hope to eventually get somewhere around 100wpm)

Yessir, you really can learn two different keyboard layouts and keep them both straight...

Where's the top 100 list they talk about. And where are the screengrabs for the 100+ wpm? 😉

P.S. Barbara Blackburn, the World's Fastest Typist

"Typing, Fastest. Mrs. Barbara Blackburn of Salem, Oregon can maintain 150 wpm for 50 min (37,500 key strokes) and attains a speed of 170 wpm using the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard (DSK) system. Her top speed was recorded at 212 wpm. Source: Norris McWhirter, ed. (1985), THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS, 23rd US edition, New York: Sterling Publishing Co., Inc."

60 WPM @ 97%.

Those of you (like me) who look at the keyboard while typing, try it without looking. For me, the results (50 wpm @ 78%) were craptacular! 😛
