Yep, now the fight moves to the courts. I imagine a smart judge would strike down the move back to an "information service" pretty quickly if any case gets that far. The problem may be getting "standing" - proving this decision has or will hurt someone.

well, it's a good thing then that supreme patriot Mitch MCTurtle blocked hundreds of federal court appointments by evil black man Obama through the last 6 years, so that Blessed One Orange Trump could promptly fill them within a matter of months. Can't have the people being represented for their interests when donors need to get paid!

So...the internet will go back to being exactly as it was prior to 2015.
OK.
I get that Trump is an idiot and all...but besides that I'm not anticipating any noticeable changes whatsoever with the passage of this.
There were other regulations before 2015 that were over turned by the USSC because the FCC didn't call broadband Title II. It was the big telecom companies that sued over those regulations. Why would they have done that if not because they didn't want to follow NN.

Further, dialup always had NN, because it was always a Title II product.

I would like to chuckle but I feel more like crying. Can we get some conservative in here to mine my tears?

80% of Republican voters were against killing Net Neutrality. This issue MUST be hammered on relentlessly in the next election cycle. Do not listen to what your leaders tell you, observe what they do to you.

Anonymous just got involved.

It's going to get real bad for a few people. You don't mess with Anonymous.
Why this persistent belief that Anonymous is dangerous or useful? "They"'ve never done a single thing of value.

It's not about censorship and blocking sites. It's about billing for specific sites as if they are building cable packages (more mock-ups at the link at the bottom):

I doubt that censoring news sites is going to happen, since now you're messing with 1st amendment concerns. You don't need net neutrality to block that, since there are other laws for that.

The 1st amendment applies to the government, not to corporations. AT&T can censor you all they want, The city of New York can not.

Thank you Trump voters. Another big giveaway to the Corps at yours and our expense because crooked Hillary (that wouldn't have done this shit to us) and because The Wall that Mexico will pay for needs to be built (that really won't stop anybody from crossing over) and because anything is better than Democrats (who gave you health care, net neutrality, a stable improving economy, medicare, medicaid, social security, protective regulations against corporate crooks and Wall St. shysters, etc etc etc.) ALL of which your own Repub politicians want to take away from you.

Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

What an asshat dancing around like he just won the lottery....oh wait, he (and his sponsors) did.
If only we could document exactly what his kickback is then we could expose this corruption for what it is... Taking a bribe and robbing the people. Again.

Bet there’s a fast pipe to Russian sites soon. Just in time for the election season, how convenient.

I know it. What I probably will never know though is how all of those single issues and pie in the sky lies that the GOP have been cramming into the heads of their constituents is more important than their very own legislators robbing them blind up front and in their faces.

I truly believe if their working class constituents who reap the benefits that the Democrats have been fighting for since the New Deal woke the fvck up and realized that the Dems want to give them good things from their gov't and that their own Repub legislators want to take them all away, maybe their middle class and their poor will join with the rest of their working class brethren and finally secure for themselves the representative gov't that works for them instead of against them like their Repub legislators are doing at this very minute.

Actually, they have done several things of use. They caught the kid who was posting Youtube videos of him abusing his cats ("Justice for Dusty") and they helped catch several child predators - namely the guy who harassed the young girl from Canada until she moved twice, then ultimately killed herself.

I'm not saying they have done enough to justify saying them getting involved will change anything, but they have helped in a few places.

That's been going on for a while. Pai even mocked the people asking about blocking the investigation over social media.

But Trump is a populist and wants to MAGA for the regular guy. They are going to get so tired of winning!

http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_t...lanning_to_sue_to_protect_net_neutrality.html

Several states are now filing a lawsuit against the FCC for moving forward with the vote while there was so many objections on top of the fraudulent comments from stolen identities.

The Internet may have lost one battle, but it's not done yet. It would still behoove everyone to call their state reps and tell them you will support them for next election if they decided to throw their hat into this lawsuit. The FCC may have gutted the rules for the internet, but I guarantee you if enough states come together, changes will be made.

Just remember, the moment we stop fighting this corruption, they will start doing whatever the hell they want.
