Yep, now the fight moves to the courts. I imagine a smart judge would strike down the move back to an "information service" pretty quickly if any case gets that far. The problem may be getting "standing" - proving this decision has or will hurt someone.

There were other regulations before 2015 that were over turned by the USSC because the FCC didn't call broadband Title II. It was the big telecom companies that sued over those regulations. Why would they have done that if not because they didn't want to follow NN.

Further, dialup always had NN, because it was always a Title II product.

I doubt that censoring news sites is going to happen, since now you're messing with 1st amendment concerns. You don't need net neutrality to block that, since there are other laws for that.

The 1st amendment applies to the government, not to corporations. AT&T can censor you all they want, The city of New York can not.

I know it. What I probably will never know though is how all of those single issues and pie in the sky lies that the GOP have been cramming into the heads of their constituents is more important than their very own legislators robbing them blind up front and in their faces.

Actually, they have done several things of use. They caught the kid who was posting Youtube videos of him abusing his cats ("Justice for Dusty") and they helped catch several child predators - namely the guy who harassed the young girl from Canada until she moved twice, then ultimately killed herself.

I'm not saying they have done enough to justify saying them getting involved will change anything, but they have helped in a few places.

Several states are now filing a lawsuit against the FCC for moving forward with the vote while there was so many objections on top of the fraudulent comments from stolen identities.

The Internet may have lost one battle, but it's not done yet. It would still behoove everyone to call their state reps and tell them you will support them for next election if they decided to throw their hat into this lawsuit. The FCC may have gutted the rules for the internet, but I guarantee you if enough states come together, changes will be made.

Just remember, the moment we stop fighting this corruption, they will start doing whatever the hell they want.
