How do I get my teenage son to shave?

I haven't read through the whole thread but just a thought, could he be trying to cover up his acne by trying to grow a beard?

When I was a young lady, my mom, rest her soul, had a problem with my hair. She made me have it cut the way she wanted it, when she wanted it done, and I hated that, but I went along with it. Then I'd shave it from underneath where she couldn't tell.

The main thing though, make sure he is washing it, nothing grosser than dirty hair:disgust:
