I tried to answer the first question by saying I leave the room when I get a call, but when I click the button, I get an error message.

WTF? 79, and i'm very courteous about my cellphone uses.

That's the problem with most cell phone users, they have no idea what is considered rude.

Hm i ONLY have it on Vibrate at all times. I don't use the phone in public, unless i can get into another room or outside. I think what got me was the multiple choices of the various venues, like sporting event, church, class etc. I put all vibrate on those, but that doesn't necessarily mean i answer the phones, just how my ringer is set up.

But do you at LEAST turn it all the way off in places like theaters, funerals, weddings and such? Even vibrators make noise. And you distract people when you scramble to either turn it off or see who's calling.

Nope, like i said, i just have it on vibrate AT ALL times. And as for making noise, it's absolutely silent unless it's on a table. I answer calls all the time and people ask me if i received a call, because they didn't hear anything. And yeah, sometimes i check the number, but it's not any more distracting than if i was to scratch myself... i just look down and turn the phone. I don't actually need to take the phone out to see who called. I even have my event lights turned off on my phone (V600 has funky light patterns you can have set up for incoming calls).

86. I don't think that's accurate at all. I know that sounds like a typical user but I'm really very courteous about my cell phone usage.

100. I rarely if ever use my cell, almost all times it's off when in public or with friends. The way I see it, if I am out with people, I am busy. Same with work, call me at work. About the only time I really use my cell is when meeting up with people and we have to coordinate/see what time/where people are arriving. It's funny to see how people nowadays say they need their cell always. How did you survive ten years ago without one?

So when I absolutly MUST answer my phone for business in public, you would try to scorn and humiliate me? Wow, must feel great to be a complete ignorant asshole.
Most of the time it IS that important that I MUST answer it immediatly. Or my schedule and the work I am handling stops dead in its tracks.

I understand your stance if you have a lackey job where it's not important to contact you ever. My cellphone is my lifeline to my business.

It was a pain in the ass. Do you NEED a microwave? Do you NEED a TV? Do you NEED a car?

I use my phone for business in public all the time. The difference is courtesy and etiquette. Does your business require that you answer your phone in the theater? Or in a restaurant and then yell personal details loudly to everyone? Do you flaunt your phone to make sure everyone notices that you have one and that someone actually called you on it?
That is what I was referring to, if you slow down a moment to get a grip, a clue, and some reading comprehension skills.

Pain in the ass? How did you even know how life is with one? That's like saying it's a pain in the ass now that we don't have flying cars. I don't have a microwave, nor a tv. I do have a car, but if I could go by without one I would. If I lived in NY or London with great subway systems I probably wouldn't have one. I do take the train to work though.

Switching gears: the cell phone is one of the greatest inventions ever. Period. And unquestionably one of the best safety inventions ever. Among other things, the widespread public use of the cell phone in the late 90s is one the factors that led to the economic boom then.
I simply dislike people who abuse this great invention and cause it to have a negative image. Even Sprint know this, as it hurts their sales. That's why they have this etiquette test.

Here in the Pacific NorthWest, I remember countless (dozens) of successful rescues which would NOT have happened if the stranded parties didn't have a cell phone.
