77 and am damn proud. I am courteous in work/business setting, but if I am around people I don't know, or if I am getting an important phone call (read family), then I will do what I need.

WTF? 79, and i'm very courteous about my cellphone uses.

That's the problem with most cell phone users, they have no idea what is considered rude.

Agreed.

Pain in the ass? How did you even know how life is with one? That's like saying it's a pain in the ass now that we don't have flying cars. I don't have a microwave, nor a tv. I do have a car, but if I could go by without one I would. If I lived in NY or London with great subway systems I probably wouldn't have one. I do take the train to work though.[/quote]

it's actually nice NOT to have a cellphone most of the time...sort of like it's nice NOT to have a car in a place like downtown NYC.

I'd rather have ten people talking on their cellphones on the street than one person talking on their cellphone while driving, though.

79 and im not changing. I encounter people who are a lot ruder than me. If I need to make/answer a phone call I'm going to make it, but I try to be as courteous as possible. Sometimes the phone call is more important than being courteous.

I scored a 73. Too bad - especially considering that I talk some 15-30 minutes per month
I hope I don't disturb too many around me

98. i also leave it on (vibrate) at all places, so i dont think that is what lowered some people's score. my ringer is only on when i'm expecting a call and someone is with me to say 'your phone is ringing'

So

Your Score: 90

Congratulations! You are an extremely courteous wireless user.

Basically except when I am in my house or car, my phone is on silent, and I never put it above someone who I am face to face with unless it is a REALLY important call. Plus I consciously try to talk in an 'indoor' voice when on the cell phone.

89. I mean, who seriously turns off or lowers the volume on a cell phone at a party? Or an elevator? *oops I stepped in an elevator, let me turn off my phone* I sure as hell wouldn't answer my phone or pick it up or talk on it, but I'm not going to mess with it for a 20 second ride.

I'm not a heavy user of my phone. Mine usually stays in my truck except on the weekends when I'm out for any length of time and want to be accessible. The rest of the time people know they can either reach me at my office or my house. I generally try to be as polite as possible which is pretty easy since I don't use mine all that much.
