Scarface The Game owns GTA, playing as Tony Montana > anything Rock Star can come up with. language wise Scarface is more vulgar. Oh and you get to sell Cocaine, a shame they didn't stay true to the movie and let you actually sniff it in the game.
I never finished that game I should go fire it up and kill some police.
I think the game would have been laggy if they put in as much cocaine as he snorted in the move, lol.
Scarface was only ok, mostly because of the crappy vehicle control. But the missions weren't very interesting either. A decent game, but owns GTA? no.
OP wouldn't like it anyway, lots of bad words![]()
Worse game in the genre is "25 to Life". I think the programmers, developers and anyone involved in that game should get 25 to life.![]()
Was it as bad as True Crime NYC? That crap lasted about 20 minutes on my pc.
IMO it was worse than TC:NYC

As bad as Just Cause then? Again the control scheme ruined what otherwise was a fairly fun game. Plus it took forever to get around. Played for a few hours before scratching. All these GTA clones generally fall short. I hear that XBOX one was good though...forget what it was called. Crackdown maybe? Saint's Row?

GTA:SA/VC is much more improved if you feel GTA3 is too clunky for you.

Exactly. The overuse of swearing today is what is so annoying. People use it to sound "cool" or whatever. I see people that swear constantly as immature and stupid. They need to figure out some other adjectives to use. And I think swearing can be used effectively for certain game/movie situations and even real life, but I get really turned off when there is just a constant barrage of it.

Poor guy.. only has one eye.
I grabbed GTA:SA off Steam a few months ago only because I was browsing through the mods for the game and thought they'd enhance the filthy GTA game play.
They did, got dozens of American muscle cars and such game is enjoyable.. but I feel like a scumbag whenever I play GTA.. like I have to go wash my hands or take a shower. The game's filth.. hip hop, gangsta, drugs, sex, and violence culture can go to hell.
Then I picked up Mafia a few weeks ago.. My lord that game is so much better..
On a side note:
The problem is that having to use cursing to express emotions indicates a poor command of the language.
And cleaning up such posts wastes time and can affects people's post per day percentage.
"pardon me, reginald, but i would like to take a moment to indicate that i am most heinously displeased"
"displeasure acknowledged, bernard"
"carry on, then"
i haven't played GTA3, but i've played through vice city and san andreas on the pc.
i liked vice city the most because i think it had far better music. the music in san andreas isn't quite as good but san andreas does have the jetpack and the map is huge in comparison. it's not a bad game once you make it through the first few missions which are loaded with profanity and and some pretty major stereotyping.
Ya know, the whole series of GTA 3 seems less criminal than GTA 2 and 1. I don't know, saving prostitutes, cleaning up the neighborhood because of the crack epidemic?ummm... whats wrong with rough language... hellooooo grand THEFT auto... ?

Wow, no idea what prompted that. But okay, you sound like the exact type of person I was talking about. Thanks for reinforcing it.

as far as san andreas... just in case you try to do it, i'm going to attempt to save you some time. there is a point in the game where you need to take over some turf. although you can take over as many as you feel like, don't bother because you will lose them all again anyway due to the storyline. just make sure you have and protect enough to keep the game going.

Thank you! Taking over turf is a PAIN! I'm so glad you warned me.
So far I'm having trouble adjusting to the game, because it's so easy to get killed in a gunfight, I'm still trying to figure out where the good guns are.
Regarding Mafia, Speed limits are fun! Sometimes I speed past them until I see a cop, but during most of the missions I could tolerate the speed limits because I enjoyed the music very very much.

Yes, and you can turn on the limiter making it impossible to speed.![]()

Not as you got further into the games, and with a big garage it was easy and very cool to pick out your favorite car for a mission, or pick out the one best suited for the mission.
