I agree these batteries suck too. They just won't hold a charge. I have the same problem running my digi cam with these batteries after they have been sitting outside for a week or so already fully charged. I'm not sure if its the charger itself but I will definitely be contacting batterspace RMA.

How do you know if batteries are leaking?

i ordered from this website a few weeks back for AAAs (24 pcs for less than 20 bucks)

anyhow, they're pretty good

and the company is very easy to deal with, they somehow sent out the batteries in a thick big envelope and during the processes of shipping it to me the envelope seal broke and it came to me without batteries, i called UPS up and emailed batteryspace, without a problem the batteries were re shipped, i asked them to ship it in a box instead, and thats what they did.

Okay. It's been almost exactly a month since I bought ten 2000s. I've had mixed results:

Upon receiving shipment, I immediately installed them in the 10-slot smart charger. By the next day, all batteries indicated full charge. Placed 4 batteries in my Nikon 950 camera. This was around 10/4. We'll call these batteries 1-4. The remaining 6 batteries stayed in the charger on trickle charge.

Last Tuesday, I installed 2 of the remaining batteries in a portable CD player. We'll call these batteries 5 and 6. From Tuesday until Saturday, the CD player saw perhaps 3 hours' use. On Saturday I swapped the batteries with some still on trickle charge. Note this swap wasn't prompted by a failure of any kind...just did it on a whim. Let's call the newly-swapped batteries 7 and 8.

First anomaly: I noticed that battery 5 took perhaps an hour before the smart charger indicated full charge. Battery 6 required about 8 hours' worth of charging before the charger indicated "full". Though this is hardly "proof," I would suspect that battery 6 leaked excessive charge.

This evening, I noticed that my CD player indicated low battery! Now, the CD player had been used perhaps 30 minutes since installing batteries 7 and 8. Hmm. Tested with my multimeter. Battery 7 indicated 1.2xx volts. Battery 8 indicated only 0.98x volts. So it would appear that battery 8 is a dud.

Tested batteries 1-4 from the Nikon camera. Now, keep in mind that these guys haven't been charged in almost exactly 1 month. Over that period, the camera saw only a few minutes' worth of use and the flashbulb was not used. All 4 batteries tested in excess of 1.4 volts. So little, if any, charge leakage was noted.

So, at least 2 batteries out of 10 appear to be defective. That's an unacceptable failure rate.

I'm currently recharging all 10 batteries and will measure and document their charge leakage per day. I'll post back after I have numbers.

Will be waiting for your data. I will be contacting batteryspace about replacement batteries since I am having problems with them as well. Just in case, how would I know if it was the charger's fault?

Anybody know where I can get adapters that let me run C Cells in a D Cell battery device? Also I remember adapters that will allow rechargeable AA batteries to be used in C and D devices, but forgot where to get them...:) Thanks...

Christ that's alot of batteries. What are you going to use 60 AAs for? More importantly, how are you going to charge them all? :)

I've been wanting to get these for some time but never did.

Although, I've had pretty good exp with rayovac rechargables.

I have 4 AA 1600 & 4 AAA 750's
they're charged in an old radio shack Ni-Cd charger at 140 milliamps

i have them running in AA: Digital Camera, Wireless Keyboard

AAA's are running in: MP3 Player and Wireless mouse

They last pretty long in all of them, in the wireless KB/Mouse, they go 3 & 1 month respectively

Digital camera will go for a while, i dont use it often, like every other month, but whenever i need it, it always has enough charge to take pictures, like 30~40 pictures. I dont really kno how many since i've only recharged them 2 or 3 times in the past 8 months.

MP3 player eats up batteries the quickest, like 6-8 hrs of playtime. If i didn't have the rechargables, i simply wouldn't use it.

Anyway, i'm sharing this to show that Ni-MH batteries can hold a charge for a long time, i'm not sure of the powerizer's but if their charge magically disappears after a month, thats not normal, its ok if it's reduced, like 30 pics instead of 50 pics, but dead battieries is not normal

I have ordered from them for about 2 years now. Super people to deal with. Prices are too good to be true, but read their info and you can see why they can do it. Also, notice that on top of the page if you order over $100 or $250 you get a super free charger. Want to earn some money.? I have done this a number of times. They have a deal with 12pc 2000mah batteries and a super smart charger for $27. Show your friends this super deal, especially for all those electronic toys and cameras, and order 10 sets which gets you over the $250 mark and you get one of their super top of the line chargers free. I have 4 teenage grandchildren and guess what they are getting from grandpa this year. Check it out. I posted this battery space.com site last week inside of another post on cameras. I am going to post another site where you can buy camcorder batteries cheaaaap! I am new at this, but I am slowly learning how to type and use a computer during my retirement years.

That's some pretty good findings. But you went for all that trouble for nothing since it's easy to find on the net.

Yeah Powerizer does suck....

Got the lowest rating in the score. What else is new. I've posted this a few times but this so called *HOT DEAL* has been popping up in multiple threads I thought it be kind of pointless to crap on everyone's parade. Do yourselves a favor and buy some nexcells or GoldPeak... You can get them for just as cheap if you watch for them. Personally I paid a few cents more per cell and got sanyo's!!!! They ROCK!

I think most people are new to rechargables and are happy if they power up for a few hours they can only recharge them again... And time after time... Get a decent Charger. Doesn't make sence to buy high end batts just to charge them in a "TIMED" charger. Get one with a brain...

Or....... Keep buying these seconds and well keep charging! :)

I just posted a message about Batteryspace.com (Dec. 4) on how to get a Free charger and all I got was bad comments from readers. I and my friends have been buying from them for the last two years, and things went very smooth. They sure have some good prices. There sure are a lot of complainers on these sites. P
eople do not get their order in 2 days and the world has come to an end for

them. Remember, you have to charge and recharge new batteries about 4 times before they start reaching their max power. I get a couple hundred shots on my sony 717hi, and olympus 5050, and my canon A70 goes forever.

THE OLD SAYING "TWO MEN LOOKED THROUGH BARS, ONE SAW MUD AND THE OTHER SAW STARS". I hope things work out better for those of you having trouble.
