The batteries are very good, but not until you have recharged them about 4 times before they reach the max power. Also, when I have a bunch of batteries charged I place them in my freezer so they stay fresh. I read this in one of my battery sites. I think Thomas Indlustries. Otherwise it is normal for rechargeable batteries to go dead in about 4 months, but freezing keeps them fresh with very little discharge.

I would be more than happy if they lasted 4 months. Mine die in a week! I believe one or two is leaking a charge because when the charger goes to trickle mode, 3 or them are warm while 1 is still cool to the touch. I don't know how I should be varifying the leak though...

Anybody know where I can get adapters that let me run C Cells in a D Cell battery device? Also I remember adapters that will allow rechargeable AA batteries to be used in C and D devices, but forgot where to get them...:) Thanks...

If you find out please let me know. I have been looking for those too!

Good luck too, I'm still waiting on others, haven't found them yet...:(

Cheaper than getting them from Thomas Distributing. Go here to American Science and Surplus and get a "set" for $1.25

Converts a "AAA" to "AA," "AA" to "C," and "C" to "D." Slip in whatever size battery you have and build up from there to whatever size you need!! Each case has contacts and will fit into the standard cavity of any device. You can carry only "AAA" reserves and be covered for any size through "D" in an emergency.
91892 BATTERY ADAPTERS $1.25 / EACH

Anybody have any trouble with BatterySpace not accepting a 1-time use number? I just tried to place an order with a 1-time use AmEx# and it gave me an error page that said:

Error!

Declined

You can still go back and correct your information

I bought the 25 pack of 2000 mAh and received 2250 mAh batteries. They seem like a good deal, although the annoying thing is the plastic label that wraps around the batteries easily peels/flakes off by itself. Also, I am having trouble fitting the batteries into my digital camera. The lid does not close as easily as with regular alkaline batteries. They look like standard size AA batteries, but for some reason, I have a little trouble fitting them in. Again, it could be do to the plastic label (?).

Still, I'm overall happy with them. $1 a piece.....seems like a good deal. ;)

I got this same deal back in September and I have to say that these are the best batteries I have ever used. They work best in high current drain apps, like remote controlcars, etc. They work well in my mouse, too.

As "Atrac" stated, they are a wee bit on the large size. The plastic coating sometimes gets ripped when installing the battery cover on some of my devices. Other than that, I love them..

Costco has great little chargers for 20 bucks, with I think 6 AA's and 4 AAA's. The charger is small enough it will easily go in your back pocket or camera bag, and best feature of allllllll..........
the wall plug prongs fold into the body! It's just exactly as I have envisioned the perfect one should be for years.

This is my second order with them.

My first order of 1800's had (2) dead cells out of the 24.

This order of 2000's were all good.

I opted for the 10 cell smart charger. The bad thing is... the charger automatically shuts off the charge mode after 12 hours. And it takes just about that long to charge 2000's. Thus .... if you get this charger (slower and easier on the batteries), you need to unplug/restart the charge process after a few hours or so.... to get a complete charge.

Then the charger isn't really a smart charger. If it is, it should charge until the battery is full and then turn into trickle charge mode.

I am confused by this. The description indicates that it is a smart charger ("v-6988 IC-Controlled Ni-MH and Ni-Cd Smart Battery Charger") and that it has an LED indicating trickle charge ("Individual LED to indicate proper charge, discharge and trickle charge").

Is this indeed a smart charger or just a static timed charger with misleading LED indicators to sucker potential buyers into thinking it is smart?

The way I understood it, is that it does both, it's a delta-V smart charger but also has a timer to prevent excessive overcharge. What I MEAN is, it "could" do both, but whether they're pulling our leg on this??? I wouldn't doubt the product simply because it turns off eventually... if you had batteries that were already charged, you wouldn't want them recharging indefinitely at the higher rate just because their Vdrop had already occurred.

You would think it is from all that description. I wonder if it is indeed 'smart' but has a timer control for overcharging that only goes up to 12 hours. It would be great if someone, maybe Cybordolphin, ask about this in their technical forum.

I have this charger and it charges, then switches to trickle charge. I have not seen it shut off after 12 hours.

I don't think trickle charge will hurt your batteries
