I just order the X800 PRO for $249 CAD, I really don't need the XT PE to much power for my system.

I don't know if you guys will all get your X800 XT PEs they might give you X850 XTs. :D

I called customer service but they could tell me nothing. The guy i talked to didnt even know how long the refurbs had been for sale. All i could get from the csr was that it usually takes 2-4 weeks. He didnt know if they had oversold the x800xt and if they had what they would do. So pretty much csr's at ati know NOTHING.

My advice is don't expect it to come. Don't bank on it. If it comes, wahoo! If not, I won't be crying. It's definately a YMMV deal.

I'm GUESSING we will all get our cards IF ATI needs the sales to hit their revenue numbers at the end of this month. I suspect the cards will be "in stock" by ~August 22 which would allow ATI enough time to pump out a fair volume of cards to sell which may put them "over the top" from a sales perspective.

How many of you ordered the X800 XT PE insted of the X800 Pro? Cause I ordered the X800 Pro and I think is a good buy, is it?

Of those who received their X800 Pro's...who got apparently refurbished cards and who got apparently new cards? Did they come "factory sealed"?

I wonder if a refurbished card would come factory sealed since it's coming from the actual manufacturer rather than a reseller (e.g., Newegg)?

I didn't get it yet, not even shipped from ATI.

Still waiting. :(

A Pro for ~$205 shipped is not a bad deal at all especially since there's no MIR involved and you get a 3-year warranty from ATI.

Well, lets say they get 200 cards back from prior sales. Some lucky customers get new cards back until the returns can be "re-furbed", of those that can be refurbed, (bad fans, etc), how many would they choose to re-sell, as opposed to sending out refurbs to replace bad cards?

I'm wondering just how fast the stock of "extra" refurb cards will grow, you mean to tell me all non working cards are being replaced with new cards?, so to allow them to have loads of working refurb cards to dump on the market anyway they can get rid of them?

I ordered a PE, so hope Im wrong, but still......

I'm guessing they're probably going to just dump off new ones on us, after the announcement of the next gen. They'll be stopping production (if they haven't already) of the 800/850 series GPUs and ramping up the new line.

My take on where the cards will come from, is the return of the cards the employee's, suppliers, partners, etc when they get the next generation model. ATI has the cards sold when they supply everyone associated with ATI, no cash out of pocket for them. They will be used cards that they run their test on to determine if the cards is good or not.

I placed orders for 2 cards and bet $9,000.00 that you're correct;-)

Yes...I believe it does have VIVO. I did a few google searchs and it came up with VIVO everytime.

Am I mistaken or did ATI add a LARGE BOLD header in the description of the cards indicating A 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!!

I'm 95% certain the link DID not indicate the warrenty as BOLDLY as it does now. If I'm correct...this is another indication ATI is trying to move these cards and the cards are NOT "oversold". JMHO though:)

You're right, the prominent 3 Year Warranty logo wasn't on the page last week (I saved a screen print), but this just seems to be an automated re-vamping of their whole clearance centre - it does not appear to be specific for this deal. Still need to wait and see how many orders they can fill for the card ...

This deal has been available for almost 2 weeks now so it's safe to assume ATI is well aware of the interest in it, and must have received plenty of email and phone calls on previously placed orders. If they didn't pull it by now it only makes sense they'll have enough to meet demand.

Either that or their webstore is run by a bunch of monkeys.
