Put me on that "Has 9800pro, and doesn't really know if he want's to buy this card, but he bought it anyways, and he is probably going to end up calling to cancel so he doesnt get buyers remorse" boat! But in all honestly, the 9800pro is such a great card. Games still look great (sure it could be a lot better, but it's not sh!t) and I just love the fact that it's lasted me this long.

Dammmit, I'm gonna have to cancel my order.

Stupid impulse buying...

Buyer's remorse? I had "jump on this deal AGAIN before it's gone remorse" and finally decided to order a second card. I can easily sell my 9800 Pro for ~$75 (maybe a little more) and each X800XT PE ends up costing me ~$150 for my 2 upgrades;-)

any new discount codes available? (i know keep it on the dl) All that I got was a 5% off one. anyone with the hook-up PM me! Thanks!

I like the 6800GTs, but I think the X800XT PE is by far the better card. If you need the card in less than 2-3 weeks, I guess you don't have a choice (i.e., I THINK the majority of X800XT PE will ship the last week of August).

Same here. I had been happy with my 9800 Pro but it just couldn't quite muster all the power I needed with my new high res monitor. Also I don't plan to upgrade systems for a while so the AGP should work for now.

And I figure since this is a pre-order deal and many people seem to have taken ATI up on the offer, I have about a 50/50 chance of actually ever getting a card.

I'm guessing here, but I'd say you have a 90% chance of getting a card;-)
What's that wink for? Do you know something?
Sorry man...didn't mean to imply I was an insider, but I'm betting pretty heavy that ATI will direct sell/ship a LOT of NEW X800XT PEs and X800 Pros. Also, if this is any indication on how many orders ATI is "processing" lately...my "Order Number" on Friday was 14200 "less" than my order earlier today. So I'm guessing again...that ATI has taken ~14200 orders for products since last Friday (or in 5 days). Some of those I'M sure are DVI "dongles", but I'm willing to bet that a LOT of these orders for the X800XT PEs.

went ahead and bit, this should make my machine last until i really need / want to do a full upgrade. will be selling some stuff soon 😉 🙂

after i received the order confirmation, i received a promo code for 5% off, so if you want it pm me, first come, first serve. i will give it out via pm until people inform me it won't work anymore 😉

the 10% one only gave me 5%, plus i was going to give the 10%(that only worked for 5% plus this one and hopefully somebody could double stack them)

question for you guys, im running a 3000+ (754) with a gig of corsair XMS3200LL. Am I going to get any bottleneck issues from the cpu with this card? thanks

Your system may somewhat limit the video card (maybe the X800 Pro and I'd say for sure the X800XT PE) , but you can expect some very good FPS with high quality settings.

What video card do you have now?

ha, an old PNY Ti-4600... so i figure anything would be an improvement.

is there any way to tell (test) for sure if youre system is experiencing cpu/ram bottlenecking?

Unlike most refurbs which greatly reduce the original warranty, this one has the backing of the company. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want one besides the knowledge they were not the original owners.

"This product has been manufacturer refurbished and carries a 3-year limited warranty. Product may not be exactly as shown."

I'm in. Ordered on Friday night to replace my AIW 9700 Pro I purchased almost two years ago from ATI on an auction they had.

Recently I have been having memory errors and BSOD's that made me think the 9700 was failing, but I replaced my CPU with an older slower Athlon XP and the errors seem to have quit. Maybe time to replace my Mobile Barton 2400+ I've been running at 2.2 for 3200+ speeds. Would this still be the best chip for a n-force 2 chipset board to run?

Probably not the best thread choice to be asking this.

I know, but I thought maybe someone who was considering this card would also know of a good cpu to pair it with that also works on a nforce 2 mb.

Wow..that is a killer deal. That is a one sweet card! I loved mine...got 400 out of it a couple weeks ago when I sold it...so this deal does indeed rock@!
