OMFG of course not. America isn't ready for a female president at this point in time, much less Hillary. Did you see her stance when the "hot coffee" mod was exposed?

You guys SERIOUSLY need to watch the History channel more often. The only reason he was ok at the job of president was cause he hardly did anything before he was shot. As a person he was terrible, he got caught on his brother's wedding video telling him it was ok to cheat on his wife. His own wife tried to leave him but her parents said they'd disown her. Quit believing everything you learned in history class from your teacher that probably majored in binge drinking and start learning some history.

You're operating under the notion that Hillary is in fact a woman, which she is not.

I don't have a problem with her decision-making skills. My problem lies with her cleft feet, tail, and horns.

Its debateable, yes. But anyone who hears that b!tch b!tch about the dumbest things will have no doubt in their mind, perhaps she doesn't resemble one physically - but emotionally she is all women

I think she would make a very good president. I also think John McCain would make a good president.

Are you from Florida? Do you even know what you are talking about?

I live in Tampa and for the most part JEB has been very resposible and has done a decent JOB. JEB is very differant than his brother and father that I do not alway agree with. But his name has been tainted in the minds of some people because of what other family members have done.

Ted and the rest of the family are American Trash, but John Kennedy was a great Preisident. The same can be said about Jeb vs the rest of the Bush family.

That may be, but I bet I'm far from the only person that would not vote for Jeb simply because he's in the Bush family. Both Bush's have been horrible Presidents.

I agree that they have been silghtly less than mediocre, but John Ellis Bush (Jeb) has had fairly sound policies, has actualy improved education, and kept special interests away while maintaining the best interest of the public. As far as I am concerned he is not a run of the mill Bush/politician.

Metaphoricly speaking, if your brother robbs a bank; does that make you an automatic criminal? No it does not.

If your bother commits treason, should it prevent you from getting a job at the CIA? No it should not.

The same is true for a politician, we should judge them on an individual basis and not based on mistakes made by their family members.

I lived in Western New York all of my life, and moved to Tampa last July. I'd have to say that on the whole I'd have to agree with Googer...JEB has done a solid job. As for Hillary...she may have gotten a ride into the Senate, but she still has time to prove herself. Time will tell.

Anyone who sponsored a bill to censor the media 'for the children' would not make a good president, IMO. That is my single biggest beef with her. At this point I could even stomach the fiscal socialism, but that breaks the deal for me.

Yeah, cuz the history channel will cover every important facet of someone's job as a president and life in general and won't ever concentrate on exciting side issues.

JFK was a tremendous speaker, had incredible wit, was great at debating, and was quite diplomatic even if he claimed to be a jelly donut in german. Furthermore, since we are talking about the history channel, he also suffered from a pretty rare and serious condition (addison's I believe?). He may not have accomplished much as president compared to his fame but he was still a terrific personality and accomplished a decent amount under difficult circumstances.

Similarly, I would say Jimmy Carter is one of the greatest people to be president. Not too effective as a president, but as a human being overall he is amazing.

Jeb actually seems like a pretty good guy and I think he would have been a much more competent president than his brother. He is definitely the smarter of the two.

yep. I said it before, and I'll say it again; if it become a "lesser of two evils" thing w/ hillary vs. jeb, jeb will win.

They both are related to buffons who clumsily dribbled their way through 8 years at the white house.

The difference will be that Hillary will be hated on her own merit; Jeb will only be hated because of his brother.

A lot of people dislike him for the 2000 elections and felt that he did some immoral nepotistic stuff to muck up the elections. Not sure I agree with this view but I remember him taking a lot of heat at the time. Maybe everyone forgot by now though.

of course everyone will forget untill Jeb starts running, it won't be enough to sway voters though. It will be dubya's fault he won until '08, then when Jeb starts to run all of a sudden it will be Jeb's fault dubya won. If the democrats know what's good for them, they'll focus on the future instead. Sadly, I don't see that happening.

What about this? What if the democrats decided that their best strategy was to focus on the past, the pre-George W. years? What if they decided that a Al Gore for President and Hillary as his running mate would be the best ticket? Do you think they would be able to sell a "remember the good old days" campaign? An unknown Bill Clinton was able to defeat Bush, Sr. by focusing on, "It's the economy, stupid?" when they were able to convince voters that Bush, Sr. just didn't get it when it came to how difficult things were for the average person. We're in pretty much the same sort of situation now and a lot of people feel that George W. cares a lot less about the average person and favors his wealthy peers like those in the oil business. The republicans would of course focus on the, who's going to keep you safe from terrorism, campaign, but the democrats could say that we were as safe from terrorism during the Clinton/Gore administration as we are now.

How do you think a bring back the Gore/Clinton administration would go over?

Hillary Clinton is a life-line back to sanity - economic good times, a withdrawal from the insanity of Iraq, international respect. But most of you act as if a Hillary Clinton Presidency would be worse than Dumbya's. This thread makes me realize how terribly, terribly lost Americans really are.

Bill Clinton deserves ZERO credit for the economy at the time of his presidency. It was the result of the tech boom.

True, Jeb was the one who studied hard in school and wanted to be President long before his brother ever considered politics a profession. George was a drinker and Jeb was a bookworm/nerd/A+ Student while George was a partying flunk in high school and college.
