As for Hillary, someone else pointed out that she is as authoritarian as they come. If you think you're losing your country to the Bush neo's, you may be right... but the last solution to the problem of "big government" is Hillary Stalin Clinton! I can think of eleventy billion other Republicans, Democrats, and Satan Worshipers that are more fit for the job than she is.

QFT again! even better than the last one!

damnnnnn this poll's results make me happy. more than you could ever imagine...

I'll probably be voting third party this time around. Call it a wasted vote if you wish, but I vote for who I like as a matter of principle--not the lesser of two evils.

Yep, that's where my vote will go... Screw em all....

That may be, but I bet I'm far from the only person that would not vote for Jeb simply because he's in the Bush family. Both Bush's have been horrible Presidents.

I know that a lot of people are going to disagree, but how many Presidents have we had lately that weren't horrible? IMO every president since Kennedy has sucked.

Reagan was great, wasn't he?

LOL!!!!!!

If the choices were Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush... I MIGHT vote for Hillary. Otherwise, no.

Of course, our choices will again between between two losers and voters will be expected to either a) vote party line (the brainless option) or b) vote for 'the lesser of two evils' (the forced, this sucks, option)

Are you from Florida? Do you even know what you are talking about?

I live in Tampa and for the most part JEB has been very resposible and has done a decent JOB. JEB is very differant than his brother and father that I do not alway agree with. But his name has been tainted in the minds of some people because of what other family members have done.

Ted and the rest of the family are American Trash, but John Kennedy was a great Preisident. The same can be said about Jeb vs the rest of the Bush family.

Jeb Bush is a bible thumping idiot. He ended his presidential ambitions when his administration starting big brothering that brain dead woman. He should never have passed those laws or stuck his big head in the personal affairs of one family.

QFT!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say I want her to be President, but I would vote for her over any current Republican. There was a time I had great respect for McCain, but those days have passed. I am not a Hilary fan, but I think she would be a quantum leap better than GWB, so I'd have no real discomfort voting for her.
Kind of a gut feeling thing, huh???

Huh - haven't seen you in a long time.

I am confident almost any human would be a more competent and hardworking President than GWB (including but not limited to Pauly Shore, Andre 3000, and Kevin Federline), so yeah, it's a gut feeling thing. Heck, even Alchemize rates Bill Clinton higher than GWB.

Whatever else you can say about Hilary, she is very very bright, and for the most part I agree with her on the major issues. It's interesting - the biggest Bush fan I know (a heavy hitter in AIPAC) indicates he would probably vote for Hilary if she runs.

The way I see it is:

"just because you married the 'it' guy and carpetbagged your way into the senate doesn't mean you deserve your husbands merit or credentials. Prove yourself worthy of the office and I will vote for you. Hell, whoever properly shows that they have credentials to make a great president will get my vote in the end."

Unfortunately those are not the people who have been running for President so far this century!

Tommy Thompsno is a Republican. I would vote for him if he ran for President. He did a good job as the Governor of Wisconsin.

McCain would make a much better Vice President. Everyone knows the VP is the brains and the President is the mouthpiece. That is what was wrong with George Bush Sr. He didn't know how to transition from the brains behind the Reagan administration into the mouthpiece of his own. His choice of brains (Dan Quayle) had a lot to do with his lackluster administration as well.

That's not to say that a President doesn't need to have both intelligence and charisma. If only Jr. had inherrited the brains of his father...

Well at least in this current Administration but then it wasn't to difficult to find a VP with more brains than the Dub.

You and I had the same thought at the same time...see my edit above.

I don't think in my life time there has been a VP who turned out to be a better President than the one he served under. Most of the time a VP is nominated to gain the support of his followers for the election or just to shut him up as was the case with Bush SR. and Reagan (remember the term Voodoo Economics? It was coined by Bush or at least one of his speech writers)

She's maybe smart but she strikes me as being too cold and calculating.
The Secret Service might have something to say about her getting into the White House.
The horror stories about how she got along with the Service boys would definitely cause them to have nightmares.
Well, just my opinion, what the hell would I know.....

The fact that she is a lawyer is enough reason not to vote for her. Then there is the Rose Law Firm records that suddenly appeared at the Whitehouse. Something is fishey about that.

In all fairness, so were Lincoln, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, and many others. GWB would have been a lawyer (assuming he had passed the bar), but the University of Texas law school wouldn't let him in.

pwn-age

If she runs against ANY Neocon, absolutely. If she runs against anyone else, very unlikely...I'd probably be able to vote independent again if there's no Neocon candidtate.

You know that Hilary wouldn't have a chance when the results do not favor her on a forum like this.

Hard to dispute that. I must say I have never totally understood people's hatred of Hilary, but she certainly lacks Bill's charisma, and was tied up in a lot of the same issues that angered conservatives with regard to Bill. As far as I can see she is a brilliant woman, and though I resent the fact that she seems to whore herself out to the polls, she is, in my view, well-qualified to be President. It's hard for me to imagine her winning, but if the Republicans field someone like Bill Frist she might have a chance.

at the rate GW and his church going friends are making this country a bunch of intolerant jackasses, i'd vote for anyone on the left in a heartbeat.

i don't dislike hilary, but i think she does a lot of things for show and hasn't had enough time to prove herself... i think there'd be other options. if she were the presidental candiate, yes i would. if she were running in the primaries, i'd probably vote for someone else.

however...obama, i'm counting on him in 8 years.

These poll results are rather re-assuring to me and help to calm my nerves. Thank god most Americans still have a decent mind. But the 30% of you really freaking scare me!

Would you Elect Hillary Clinton as our Next President? (Total Votes: 579)
Yes, I would vote for her.
175 votes 30.22 (%)
"Hell" No, she is screwed up.
404 votes 69.78 (%)
