I hope to make new friends and talk, share, and discuss everything with you from life to news things, etc. I hope I have found the right forum and you are all having a great Sunday so far.

Sismar, run away as fast as you can!

With all the "recycled banned members" of late, I think the mods should be required to check IP addresses against the banned member database. (or have the software do it)

You are fully welcomed to check my IP with anyone elses. I am a brand new member. You won't find any matches. But, if you've had a lot of trouble with recyled banned members, it's no wonder why some of you are replying so suspiciously.

god, you sound exactly like Phineas. By that, I mean, replying directly to every single charge.

maintaining the "supreme innocent" bit is rather old.

you seem far too interested in maintaining this innocence, rather than just moving on and neffing like the rest of us/

seriously, don't take this as an accusation, per se, but you sound exactly like that douche.
:hmm:

Hi, we have a tradition here with new members, it's something that's required of everyone when they first joined. The requirement is that you have to post within this thread a pictorial depiction of your mammary glands, else you can kindly exit the site.

I can understand a little razzing of the new members, but new female members?

You are way over the top. What's the matter, you want to chase away the few women we have here???

Clean your act up.

LOL SSS!!

I don't know "Phineas" or what it is. But, again, anyone is welcome to check my IP with anyone elses.

Question: do you treat all new members like this? Not sure I'm sticking around if you keep this up.

Anyway, I'm sorry I posted this thread now. If Admin, mods would delete it, I'd appreciate it.

That only catches the really stupid ones. We still catch a lot of the smarter ones, but that generally takes a little more time.
(speaking as a forum member, not a moderator): I think the best thing to do in the future is to attach the REAL name of trolls to a custom user title. That way, anyone searching for information about them in the "real world" will be linked to their online persona.

Don't run away. If you stay around and keep your nose clean, you'll get your chance to rub salt on the new people. Lots of skeptics around here...and that damn Perknose guy is always throwing around big words and is always wrong about stuff. Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff and you'll be just fine. Welcome again! :)

It's easy enough to fake, you just have to be consistent with it. lol. Everyone knows this.

Now to be fair people. What I closed down in P&N was for a different issue. I explained to her about self-promotion. I told her that with the requisite number of posts she would be able to link to her website with a simple link in her sig.

The matter at hand here is different. I understand the OT humor, and I don't have a problem with it except.......

Don't assume that everyone that announces they're new means they are open season to be pummeled. The mild razzing is OK but even then not all may appreciate it. I am just telling you because you guys chase some people away because of it. Some of it was over the line for a n00b IMO. Now if that's your goal to chase people off, then my words are worthless.

For the record, she did not appreciate the welcome she was given. She will not be back.

You know guys, it's not like we have an abundance of female posters here. Why would you want to chase her off???

are you sure it was "her" "welcome" and not the fact she can't drop links to her site and push traffic?

Yes I was sure. I told her that after X number of posts she can have her link. She understood that after I told her.

Because if that was the only problem she just needed a few more posts and up goes her sig.

She didn't like the welcome. What more can I say about it? If I was female I wouldn't be happy about the response I received here. Remember, not everyone has a wicked sense of humor along with trash talk.

Seriously, as a new person most might have to ease into a position where you fell comfortable here. Now if a person starts an account and feels too comfortable here (OT), you people accuse them of being returning banned members, (not that you guys aren't right with that at times). When a new person announces themselves, as she did here, she gets a dose of it. So being new means you going to get whacked, either way. Her problem was probably announcing herself in a thread she created but that shouldn't be a free-for-all whacking her.

Now when a female arrives one would think it might be nice to hear a female POV instead of shooting the shit with just a bunch of guys. But that's just me

You know buddy, its not like "she" can prove her gender now can she?

As far as "her" not being able to handle the welcome: I agree it was a bit rough, but if she couldn't handle today she would not have survived anyway.

Lola was tough and she quit. So did Lil Buttercup.
(I love those girls).
