Putin goes to Parliament, makes his case and Parliament gives him support.

Obama goes to Congress, makes his case and Congress refuses to give him support.

Is this lack of Leadership in the Executive Branch or a lack of Support in the Legislative Branch? :colbert:

Option C: lack of oppressive dictatorship in the US.

Nobody liked Putin, it was just hilarious how easy Putin made Obama look like a complete buffoon.

What kind of bizarro-world are you living in? If anything, the exact opposite of that has occurred. Putin looks like an impotent bully who has no understanding of how international economics work in the new global economy. Now all he can do is whine to the press about how the West is trying to de-claw his country and make false promises that everything will be better in two years.

The whole Fox line on Obama and Putin makes no sense. They complain all day about Obama's executive actions and call him a Dictator then go on to praise all the aspects of Putin's very real dictatorship.

This. Everything else is just the liberals twisting the facts. As usual.

Which is clearly on display in this thread. Think Putin made Obama look like a idiot in just one situation and all of a sudden you love Russia more than the US and every aspect of his dictatorship.

No, their specific and repeated praise for Putin's leadership is what is at issue here. It's recorded. You can watch it as many times as you want.

And it sure looks like Obama is getting the last laugh here. Putin and the republicans have a lot in common in that they both get caught overreaching and it burns them.

First off, I am not them, and they are on record claiming the love every aspect of Putin's dictatorship?

Putin represents what the conservatives really want to happen - an authoritarian tyrant that punishes those who oppose him and conflict with his views.

Conservatives don't want democracy, because democracy allows 'undesirables' into the system.

It's no different than when people decry big government, but are perfectly OK with big companies in place of big government. It is not that a big entity is governing us, it's that the big entity tries to represent ALL it governs, where as conservatives just want a select few to be accounted for an listened to.

+1

I don't even love all aspects of my immediate family, so the standard you're trying to set there is obviously ridiculous.

Conservatives have repeatedly praised Putin's leadership and held him up as an example of a good leader. There is no escaping this.

Well it seems with these kind is statements the standard is spot on.

What? You're really saying that you think Putin has taken the Russian people and economy to a good place?

....then go on to praise all the aspects of Putin's very real dictatorship.

But go on thinking I am the one who doesn't have a grasp of the situation and let these get a pass.

What alternate universe have you been living in ?

The one that until the 3rd of January the Democrats still control the Senate. In your universe is congress just the house or representatives or is it the one that the senators that lost the election had to clean out their desk the next day?

I have no idea what your grasp of the situation is, but I do know that people here saying things in no way affects the repeated recordings of prominent conservatives repeatedly praising Putin and his leadership.

Do you agree that conservatives have repeatedly praised Putin and his leadership? Do you think that was wise?

The most praise I ever saw was when Putin bitch slapped Obama over Syria's use of chemical weapons. Even so I don't think there are many here going to try and get the laws changed so they can have that duchebag run for President. No, I will not link to the bitchslap.

What about the praise I already linked to in this thread?

Putin goes to Parliament, makes his case and Parliament gives him support.

Obama goes to Congress, makes his case and Congress refuses to give him support.

Is this lack of Leadership in the Executive Branch or a lack of Support in the Legislative Branch? :colbert:

Bad comparison.

Russia's parliament is just there to rubber stamp whatever Putin wants.
