Qxg5. Swaping queens would be great for you and you gain a free pawn out of the deal.

Check with knight first though, and then swap Queens and Rooks.

I would do the Knight check after the taking the pawn. Black takes queen, then you knight check before you take back the black queen.

mmm he be force to move out of check and i take the queen

OK, here it goes.

Edit: what if black, does not go for my queen?

Yeah, but just start it with Qxg5. Nd6+ is also a good move, but I'd wait on it.

Then black just lost another pawn for nothing.

Then take his Queen, after you check him.

If he trades your queen with his, taking it with his king, check him with Bishop, get a Rook for a Bishop.

Chances are if he doesn't take the Queen (you just got a free Pawn), he will try to fortify With his Rook.

Then Check him with Nd6, and then trade Queens.

If he takes it with his rook, then pawn advance Ph5.
If with king, check with Be5.

So what did your friend do?

Has not moved yet...

While we wait, any recommendation of Chess software that helps you learn?

Get a book, and play with people who are ranked better.

I have heard the Chessmaster series is good, but I never tried it.

Chessmaster 10th Edition has some great interactive tutorials geared towards beginners. Fritz is the choice of stronger players with more specific training regimens. I still say no software comes close to matching a good chess book in terms of instructive value.

I been reading some online stuff, but sometimes it gets really confusing, I think you need to try what you learn right away to see what they mean.

That is why playing with someone who is good, while using a book is always the best way.
