Yes I contacted Ebay and paypal and IBM and Alienware and Intel since he is offering pentium 4's and 3 ghz and giving people celerons at 2.8 ghz

Also view my post two posts up I edited it and added a link to his latest sale which has similar specs to mine.

It seems they no longer have any auctions going. Maybe Ebay shut them down already?

Actually they have quite a few good comments or reviews. But they seem to be comming from other accounts created by them or there friends. Interesting. There probably bidding on there own products to jack the price up also. I wouldnt doubt it. OOO they have been shut down. Great let me check.

I noticed that in their reply to your feedback on ebay, they are trying to make it seem like you are scaming them. I would edit your reply to state that they sent you a different product than the one you purchased.

It's like they're saying it's the victims fault they got victimized.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52476&item=5203802794

Item Specifics - PC Desktops
Brand: Alienware
Chip Type: Intel Pentium 4
Processor Speed: 3 GHz

Damn, they actually said right at the top that the brand was Alienware.

And their reply to your feedback was totally ridiculous. All they said is, "Reply by garsgal2: Lied to us- Trying2Rip us off - Ad said Exchange Only. We offered to fix no cost."

Looks like ebay already suspended the account:

Good to see Ebay shut them down. I also see that 2 of their reviewers are also no longer registered.
This was a scam from the beginning. You will likely have to get a refund thry Paypal or you CC.

At least you didn't pay via Western Union. :)

I dunno what intel or alienware has to do with any of this. Intel is not gonna do anything, i mean...wht do you expect of them.."someone is advertising to auction an intel proc. but its not". alienware might...cus they give out assebled PCs...but the PC can be modified and auctioned off. thats not illegal.

You have coverage through PayPal, and Ebay...Just be in contact with them...they WILL refund your money "FOR SURE". you dont need to worry that much now. Your purchase is covered by paypal and/or ebay.

I think contacting Alienware was a good idea. You can't a use a brand name like that.

Don't be rude. You need to read more carefully! You was saying that Intel isn't responsible to you for a fraud perpetrated by a 3rd party. And if you think Intel has never heard of a vendor misrepresenting a 'Celery' as a Pentium then I have some magic beans I'm willing to sell you.

I would immediately demand my money back, this guys intent was to rip you off in the beginning. His rebuttal post was just ridiculous, DO NOT let them send you another machine. He is either completely unscrupulous and a con, or he is totally incompetent, either way get your money back if you can

Not being rude at all but misrepresent intels products is wrong and adveritsing one thing and giving something else is. I didnt say intel or alienware was responsible for anything I was saying that I was going to be contacting them becuase someone is misrepresenting there products. And yes I have contact with both intel and Alienware and they are investigating the bussiness as we speak so that is what intel and alienware has to do with this. Apparently they dont like there names being mis represented and people using there names to sell incorrect products. Thanks

Alienware must have contacted Ebay cause the origional ad The people put up there of the item I bought was remove by ebay today. Ebay's Vero program removed it because someone contacted the. That must have been Alienware.

If paypal and e-gay don't make sure you get your money back, i'm sure i won't use them again. What good is paypal if you can't have a safe purchase?

Also just tell us the name and be done with it, they have refused your refund so let us all know who to watch for.
And why the hell would you want an exchange? they are thieves and don't deserve your business, or ours to be frank.

I dont want an exchange I want a refund. It would not be in my best interest to give you any of the information about them. However if you went to this link yesterday you would have found information and more about the situation. I have posted this link several times. They posted their ad themselves. The link with more info and sellers even responded to some forum posts. Here is the link http://www.tech-forums.net/showthread.p...threadid=58258&perpage=15&pagenumber=1

Celeron and Pentium are both INTEL products...lol
if you have never heard of poeple selling fake "rolex" or putting authentic stickers on non authentic merchandise...welcome to the shopping world.

Im saying...Only Ebay and Paypal are responsible for your loss, and they should be the one you concentrate ur anger towards and squeeze your money back from.

I concentrated all my energy toward ebay and paypal. But I also contacted the others. As a result Alienware has contacted ebay and the sellers have been shut down now. So obviously contacting others has helped. Thanks for your help in these matters. I appreciate everyones help.

As of 3 pm Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday June 21, 2005 the sellers have received their computer back by way of the tracking numbers that the United States Post Office had given me. I have received no response from them and no refund as of yet. They have falsely advertised an Alienware/IBM computer and sold me some thing else which didnt even meet the specs that they advertised. The amount of the purchase was $1,335.20 This is a felony charge in the States. If I dont have a refund by Friday evening. I will contact all Law Enforcement Agencys related to this situation (IFCC (Internet Fraud Complaint Comission) who is in partnership with the FBI and National White Collar Crime Center, and local police/sheriff's departments in their and my areas). Paypal is still working on the case as is The Better Bussiness Bureau and Ebay. This is where I stand at this point to keep everyone updated.
