I think Wreckem shows his own failed assumptions with the following: "Also I have to note the following, because you are wrong on a point. Big Business supports this bill, small business does not. If this bill passes small business will be farked up the ass because of the mandate they HAVE to provide health coverage. In this economy, where many small businesses are closing left and right(even some Big Biz's), small business cannot cover that mandate."

Its not surprising at all that big business supports the bill, because they want to offer health insurance but cannpt if they are forced to opt out. Small business has never offered to support our existing employer based health care system by offering it, and the only way to keep the existing employers based system working is to expand and not reduce those employers willing to offer employees health care insurance.

As more and more big businesses opt out, the basis of our employers based system is already on the verge of collapse. And we have to face the facts, in an interim health care system, small business will have to also have to step up to the plate or big business can't let small business to have a totally free ride.

Worse yet, our private insurance companies have more money stick to their hands as costs rise, and can only reduce costs by rationing care. With preexisting conditions a very egregious abuse.

There isn't a prohibition against it. What the government cannot do is say "we are assuming control and private insurance may not participate. I believe the Dems know this and so are going to create a situation that will leave them the only option. The railway barrons did this and it worked. Certainly its a fraud but they can say that technically there is an option. All you have to do is operate at a perpetual loss.

Where does the Constitution give the authority to form an airforce? It explicitly says army and navy. There is no mention of the airforce, ergo, the airforce is unconstitutional and should be dismantled entirely.

Just taking this ridiculous argument to it's logical extreme.

Wow, I decided to catch a glimpse of the house debate on C-SPAN, what an absolute joke. There is *no* debate taking place, they're just running a dog and pony show to get their last round of sound-bytes in for the television cameras...

"Vote for our bill for the same reasons I stated five months ago"

Anyone who believes the government will not ration care is an idiot. I still am at a loss at how the Democrat's plan *reduces* costs, they're primarily shuffling around who pays the bills and in what percentage. Anyone know what logic comes from taxing medical supply makers? You can't pay for something by taxing it... Makes no sense... Except for it temporarily appeases the "I hate all corporations" segment of the public.

Actually the bill has to go through the senate and the president has to sign off on it.

Senate should be easy though.

He voted after the bill already had the votes, he was *not* going to be the one to tip the scales. So no, it was not a bi-partisan agreement in the least. The Democrats will still claim it is, though...

I think it is the dude that replaced Jefferson. His only chance to get re-elected is to vote for the bill. He cast the vote after they already got to 218.
