Were supposed the get ours this week, after delaying too long. Then we both came down sick. Possible Covid exposure on my wife's part, she's getting rapid test today. I don't have Covid symptoms, but will get tested if she pops positive.
Hope it’s negative. Even if you do come down with it, it’ll likely be mild enough to ride it out at home since you were vaxxed.

I had a slight fever feeling 24 hours after, but that went away quickly. If I had no reaction whatsoever, I would be suspicious of the efficacy. Making antibodies is work :)

I haven't. Haven't been offered. But some already have, and hopefully it won't end there. I guess most will just have to wait a few more weeks until SOMEONE ELSE takes over. And we all know who that SOMEONE ELSE is, now don't we. But I swear, every time... every time a democrat must come along to fix some republican screwup. Every single time!!!!

So, who's had the shot so far?
I got my two moderna shots, but not the booster yet. Thanks for asking Proffesor Mr.Bark.

Yes, thankfully, she was negative :).

I had a really nasty sore throat and nasal congestion earlier this week and was wondering too, especially after about 25 members of my family and I decided to do Thanksgiving together since every one of us is fully vaccinated (except for the kids under 5 who can't be) and we hadn't seen each other since Christmas 2019, but took a PCR and came back negative a couple of days ago. Still have wicked sinus congestion though, fucking Texas cedar pollen turns out to be the culprit.

Geez, those rapid tests have a 20% false negative rate o_O. Science can be bitch sometimes.

No allergies here - New England. I'm amazed tress are still cranking out pollen this time of year, shows how much I know about Texas. Hopefully that'll clear up with just an anti-histamine.

We have this crap called mountain cedar pollen in Texas that is released from Juniper Ashe trees mid December through mid February. It's hideous. It's so much nastier than any other tree or grass pollen I have ever dealt with, much much worse than mold in the air too.

Got my Moderna booster Wednesday PM, gotta admit I felt like crap for the next 2 days. The 1st 2 shots
didn't do anything, possibly due to ongoing depression I'm dealing with lately.
Sorry to hear that. Depression is no joke! Hope things get better. I'm running a fever right now that began 24 hrs after my booster yesterday.

Hang in there. I’ve been dealing with depression for 30 years (Bipolar 2). It's a bitch straight out of hell. I know it’s very hard when in the midst of really bad spells, but never ever give up. I’ve had to put posters up on the walls with encouraging statements like that in the worst times. Take advantage of every single tool, no matter how small. It all adds up and keeps my head just above the water line, even in the worst times.

Thanks, mine is due to my wife who cannot keep out of the hospital, 2 one month stints this year, I finally get her home on thanksgiving day and one week later she has a panic attack and shortness of breath so back she went, they are going to try and get her off the ventilator later today.

This is a major reason we are are moving out of central TX next year. I'm really sensitive and basically a prisoner in the house surrounded by HEPA filters for 2-3 months a year. Usually get a sinus infection even with drugs. Not allergic to anything else.

OOF! I have several outdoor allergies, but the drugs help well enough that I'm not trapped indoors except when the ragweed count is very high.

Never had any and was a bit of a puzzle to figure out what was wrong the first season.

So didn't Delta convince you get vaxxed in the first place? Why wouldn't you get a booster for Omicron?

I'm scheduled for my booster. Wish I could get it sooner.
Yes it did get me to get vaccinated. Omicron is much milder compare to Delta. I am not willing to keep getting vaccinated for the rest of my life.
