preferable to alcohol and can help with pain, immensely

:) , other than my perscription Imitrex, only substance I've found that will relieve both migraine pain and severe nausea and allow me to consume food to help. without it or the Imitrex, I would have to go anywhere from 12 to 24 hours without food because I couldn't keep it down.

Try LSD followed by anti depressants.
According to House it works.

Depends on where you are and who you're talking to. It can mean a lot of things.

Yeah I guess. It seems that people who do smoke don't call it dope, but people who don't, do. :p

Used it for 3 months - was a total pothead during that silly-phase. But when the headaches/watery eyes didn't cease like my friends said they would, I quit it. Surprisingly, quitting it was a piece of cake. In the last 2 years, have only taken two drags or so from a friend's joint just for the heck of it. Surprisingly, I coughed like a first-timer! I guess you lose your touch with marijuana...

Not like swimming: you learn it once, you are good for life.

Yes, I have smoked mucho ganga in my days. Now I would never touch it. I realized it just made me lazy, think super abtractly, and have unnecassary paranoia. Nothing against it, but I'm all set with it these days.

I used to, before I was married. I probably still would now and then if it was legalized and less expensive.

Haven't like one in three americans tried pot at some point their life? I've done it, it's fun, but it's not something I do quite often...

It's fun to do, but it's not like the best thing in the world...

yes, for time to time. Clean right now just in case of any drug tests when I find a new job.

My old boss was Dutch so we used to joke about it all the time at work and most of the younger staff smoked.

FWIW I'm not knocking or condoning marijuana, I myself used to smoke it on a daily basis for about 5 years straight but have not now for 5 years and feel that it's less harmful than alcohol but does have the negatives that for me grew to outweigh the positives such as laziness, short term memory loss, it's illegal, and when it comes to jobs whether it's applying for one or if a company has in place a random drug screening process.

I find it funny how my fiancee will say on the subject that she doesn't have anything against people who do it but will then go on to rant about how stupid someone is if they do do it, but it's a lost cause trying to have her see it from the view point of someone who used to do it and has some first hand experience on the subject.

That's enough rambling from me for now :p

the abstract thinking is one thing I actually like about it. gets me rollin with creativity which sets me up for stories, even a year or two down the road. heck even if its not a direct idea from the story, but just the experience, gets me to help make characters real in a story.
