If baron opens himself up, then fair game. Attacking family members of political figures you’re “opposed” to is a huge turn off for me. The Tiffany Trump example is perfect.

Conservatives don’t have these boundaries like liberals tend to. A big reason I don’t vote conservative is their apparent behavior problems, and of course they don’t hold policies I agree with.

Agreed.

I have no data to back it up, but it's hard for me to see how going after Barron or any other family member who isn't in the political game (like Jr) wins you any votes. It might lose you some though.

The Harris Campaign has gone after Trump and Vance pretty aggressively to me, but they haven't gone over the "trollish asshole bully" line (again IMO).

Just a point of clarification, but Donny JR is abso-FUCKING-lutely "in the political game". He''s been front and center on the campaign since daddy rode down that golden escalator.

So the rumors that he hoovers more coke in a month than Hunter Biden has ever seen is fair game.

Yes he is. He tweets and retweets worse stuff than his old man.

Ivanka would be more in a middle ground. She was involved the first time around but now is out of sight--don't really see the advantage of going after her at this point. Again, what do you gain? Are there that many undecided asshole troll voters who'd be swayed by that?

Keep going after Trump and Vance. Harris and Walz haven't been shy or above the fray at all. But unlike Hillary and the "deplorables", don't go after the magas. Go to the source.

Conservatives definitely don't have these boundaries. They've been going after Kamala and Tim Walz's families from the second they became the ticket. I definitely don't agree with the "when they go low, we go high" mentality as that lost us the last election. However I also think we can fight back without sacrificing our basic decency.

From what I can tell it looks like Barron has chosen to be involved and is now an adult. He's open game.

If Trump wins (shudder). And they want Don jr to get top secret clearance…. They should do a drug test right after he clearly has some some Coke and release the results that he did not pass

It won't matter. There is no way in hell that Kushner passed the BI he should have had, and he still got a clearance. Donny will get one if they want him to get one, even if he lists Pablo Escobar in the acquaintances section of the SF86.

When our intelligence agencies started withholding sensitive information from Trump it was all I needed to know just how dangerous it was to have Trump using that information to benefit himself no matter how much our nation's security was threatened by his greed and narcissism. When Trump overrode Kushner's security ineligibility and gave Kushner top secret clearance it was obvious Trump wanted Kushner to use that information as illegal tender for increasing the wealth of the family fortune because that's what Trump's mind is hard wired for. Kushner getting a $2 billion gift from the Saudis had to have some serious strings attached of which I'm sure Trump is still tied to.

Ergo, Trump simply does not deserve the trust that the people of the nation requires of him, especially when he held very suspect private meetings with Putin that excluded our own intelligence agencies from participating. Just imagine how Trump's serfs would have reacted if Hillary did that. The double standards the Republicans have had to apply to Trump in order to excuse his malicious malevolent behavior is itself just as malfeasant in nature. It's practically indescribable what Trump's supporters are allowing Trump to get away with. Simply jaw dropping in the breadth of it all.
