Yeah, agreed. Though from what I've seen I don't have much confidence that Melania has been a whole lot better as an influence/role-model.

It's a strange place to be in, in general, to grow up among sociopaths or criminals. And it leaves me confused as to how to judge people who probably never had much of a chance to find their bearings, morally-speaking. Occasionally people turn out surprisingly OK, but usually it doesn't go well. And being the offspring of Trump isn't the worst-case scenario, by some distance. At least in a context where Trump never quite became a full-on despot (in comparison to the scions of Stalin or Saddam or the children of the historical Nazis).

(Got me wondering, would one rather be a Trump-kin or a product of the Kennedy clan, or one of the Windsors?)

Sort of like work, if you know for 100% undeniable truth that a coworker is stealing stuff of value weather that is money or product or customer data and you do nothing about it, you are guilty too.
Same idea, if he knows his image is being used frequently to troll or cause disagreements on a large scale it is his responsibility to say “Stop using my image” and continue to say it when it is used.

I’m proceeding from a point of view that I wouldn’t attack a minor child without a pretty airtight case that he was guilty of something worthy of being attacked.

I’ve seen nothing that says the kid has had any say in this matter. I also have his fathers behavior where anyone and anything is fair game to be used for his betterment unless they have something over him.

Using his son to score political points fits firmly in Trumps behavior and he dangles his own kid like a red flag in front of a bill as a target for his political rivals to attack which he can spin to keep his base bound to him.

I see no reason to attack Baron for his father’s behavior and even if he was out on Fox bad mouthing Dems I probably still wouldn’t attack him - at least until he’s an adult in his 20’s.

It seems to me you feel if there’s even the slightest chance he’s on board then he’s fair game.
