I haven't yet managed to get close enough to a deer to take it out hand-to-hand. It'd be more sporting I'm sure, but a rifle does extend one's reach a bit.

hi, i saw a couple people say, "its doesn't matter what one collects".............This is terribly wrong, guns and the NRA are bringing our country apart. Go to Canada, much less violence because of less gun usage. Its much more friendly up there. Also, if we increase gun usage, wars will increase in damage and increase in times that they occur. So yea, you guys really care about our men serving over there in Iraq. While they are using a gun to defend us, your shootin up all kinds of stuff over here. And hunting, hunting is a horrible sport. I can see it for a family that needs it for food( my neighbor is very poor, he trys to get a food from hunting every winter). Huntung for sport is no worse than killing a human.

Remember, as far as wars go, .........never think, no matter how justified or right, that a war is not a crime.

That is such a crock of sh!t!!! How is gun ownership and the NRA bringing the country apart?

I think you've been watching too many Mikey Moore movies.

Are you actually saying that as private gun ownership increases so does the number of wars a country fights? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Show me one statistic to back that statement up.

How old are you? 12? Get back to me in 15-20 years when you actually know something instead of just regurgitating the garbage they teach you in grade school.

no, not as quantity, but as technology increases in gun ownership, so will warfare technology. This can be more deadly to many more. And instead of talking for awhilw to back this up, the outcome of all this is that one country/ group will come out or stand above all, and eventually it will crumble. Weapons only lead to a superpower, and war.

So, what you are saying is that because I own guns...or more advanced guns...I will eventually...what are you saying anyway? Your argument makes no sense at all.

and thats just talknig about national affairs. What about so many inocent lives being killed in our country. Harlem or other dangerous areas for example. Why do people fear walking the streets there, getting shot? Same in areas of L.A......gun ownership is getting out of control.

sorry i cant continue this discussion, but i am needed at the NRA/ Gun hicks like you, banning rally.

Yeah that guy with the .22 on the corner that wanted my wallet was thinking of taking over the world.

Onward to the concealed carry issue...the problem with open carry is it frightens/concerns people, even other gun owners. Whether your gun in concealed / open will not change the way you use it, but it will change the way other's react.

Hick? I'm an accountant and I live in San Diego, CA.

Yes, people fear walking the streets in the impoverished areas of cities. But let me ask you this, if none of the people who live in Harlem had guns would you walk there at night? I wouldn't.

Even if you take the guns away the problem still exists. It's not because of guns that areas like Harlem or south central Los Angeles are dangerous. It's because of socio-economic reasons. That has nothing to do with guns.

I would not even bother. He clearly doesn't have the desire to defend his absurd ideas or he is just trolling.

Agreed. But it's still fun to blow apart the inane ramblings of someone like this with common sense and logic. :D

Your argument is that gun ownership is getting out of hand, leading to high murder and crime rates. In places such as Harlem. I think we should include Washington DC, because DC has even higher stats than NYUC or LA in terms of armed crimes and homocides. The problem with your argument is that areas like LA, NYC, and Washington DC have some of the most restrictive gun control in the USA. Brilliant argument. I salute you, O' Grand Imperial Dragon of the Order of Asshats.

The guns that thugs have in DC, LA, and NYC arent owned legally now. So what is increased gun control going to do? Absolutely nothing, aside from disarm those people who arent likely to use them in a crime. Please go away and make your utopian, lets-all-sit-around-the-fire-and-sing-together, violence-never-solves-anything, pacifistic society somewhere else, so that I may later invade and take it over with a spork.

Exactly... How hard is it to get across to anti-gunners that criminals DO NOT HAVE legal guns!

Are you guys retarded?

See also: "I'm going to post my baseless, retarded ideas and call people names Then I shall never return to the thread, since my ideas are indefensible and my conduct abhorrent, and the insults flung at me are very likely to have some basis in the fact that I truly am a worthless moron. Don't worry, once I've insulted and run, you won't hear from me again until I do it in another thread. In my own brain-dead little utopia, I like to think of this as having the last word."

So *blink blink* is some sort of secret nerd code to indicate sarcasm? I will do my best to remember that when attempting to communicate with such people in the future.

If I recall correctly, the person that fled previous gun-bashing threads when confronted with the fact that his facts were bullsh!t was jjsole.
