Let's see....I use them to hunt, shoot skeet, target practice, and to defend myself if necessary.

So they can say "I can blow your fvcking head off" to a tresspasser every once a while, everytime you say that, your penis gets enlarged by an inch.

Mainly, I collect firearms out of historical interest. I also enjoy target shooting as a sport.

Home defense, recreational. The shotgun is handy for when Coyotes come sniffing around the chicken coup, and occasionally bears and cougars pass through the area but they usually leave without trouble. I would give those predators more benefit of the doubt than a home invader however.

Shotgun so my wife just has to pop one off down the hall and it will gt anything there. Other than that, I have no use. And I don't own a shotgun either.

I used to really enjoy target practice, particularly with my pistols.

As it is now, I haven't shot any of them in several years. Yes, I could do without some of them, (about 10 in all I think) but you'll have to pry my cold, dead fingers from my 12 ga. and M1911 Colt .45. Those are useful for home defense. It's my right as an American to have one.

I mostly lost interest in sport shooting since Basic Training in the Army. I served a total of 14 years, and after having either an M16, .45 Colt, or Baretta 9mm by my side 24/7 for many months on end, having a weapon and the ability to use it kind of lost it's coolness factor. I'll always have a gun around the house though.
